Very nice hotel, good location, really helpful and polite staff. Our room was on the 8th floor which had a nice all around view and had a balcony. Unfortunately some people had a party on the back street which was surprisingly noisy and annoying at night. The restaurant was nicely furnished. We had breakfast and dinner there, and the food was very nicely presented and delicious. I would stay there in the future and I can recommend this hotel to anyone.
Rooms very large and good quality, excellent value for money but found mattress far too soft. Make sure you ask for rooms away from Cuba St. very noisy especially from Fish Market across the road - started at 4 am. Floor shook from any footsteps and heavy trucks passing, not good for nervous ChCh visitors. Great location but Cuba St is quite scruffy in places, needs upgrading.
We found a good special rate of NZ$115/night (min 2 nights) which was supercheap for a large room with full kitchenette (cooktop, microwave, fridge, sink bench) desk area/lounge chairs & 2 large beds (king or Qn, can't remember). Very happy at that price, but it WAS a special deal and when I wanted to return the prices had increased so I stayed elsewhere.
Great size rooms 2 Queen beds and basic cooking facilities. plenty of space. Bathroom had a bath with shower over it. Very happy with this hotel will definitely stay there again when in Wellington
Great location, good service and a nice room. Exactly what we expected. Would stay again any time.
An excellent well situated Hotel. We had one sunny day and forgot to pull the drapes. Came back to a room that was unbearably hot.No air conditioning and none of the windows opened. The Fan was useless. Don't stay there in Summer.
Quality Hotel Wellington is a very friendly hotel with courteous and cheerful staff. We love the location and the easy access from the motorway and the facilities are comfortable and spacious.
All in all a great stay. Only downside was that housekeeping started very early on our floor and were quite noisy.
Fantastic large, clean rooms. Good spot if you want to be close to Cuba St action of cafes, shops etc. Not too far to walk into town. Had a great breakfast too! All in all a great spot... except for one thing - no a/c! Wasn't a real hot day when we were there but room was on west side and quite warm/humid. Ending up leaving the fan going all night. Would be brilliant to have that room etc. with a/c
Nice big room & great to have kitchen facilities, nice touch with the magazines & the low lights that come on at floor level when it is dark & need to go to the bathroom. The only minus is that the shower water goes everywhere in the bathroom. Would stay again & have already recommended to others
Friendly checkin, good spa, the rooms were large BUT there was no noise insulation. We could hear the people both in the rooms beside us and above us plus the noise travelled from the road clearly especially in the morning when the rubbish skip was being emptyed.
Our stay was excellent, clean, quiet (8th floor), great location on Cuba Street so you can just walk out of hotel and you are at shopping and cafe area. We had breakfast delivered to the room, good value we felt. The website information and pictures were exactly what they said it would be. Hotel staff friendly. We would stay here again and recommend to anyone else.
well situated, with many facilities within walking distance. could do with air conditioning. room was a good size. reception staff friendly but not very forth coming with information.
Ideal place to stay if one wanted to be in the cuba st district, plenty of cafes, restaurants and shopping. Overall stay very good, missed the air-conditioning, but apart from that, most satisfactory.
Floor in the bathroom/shower area could have been a bit better or streaks and marks mopped better.
apart from reporting a light that wasn't working when we arrived and this still not being fixed by the time we left the service was otherwise very good the pricing was good value for money as we made use of the specials offered online and secured a significant discount we would stay here again if able to secure the same level of discount
Was very pleased with the room. Large, Spacious and very quiet considering the location.
It is located top end of Cuba Street and is very handy. I have stayed there 3 times now! The only criticism I have is that some of the showers are quite open and water tends to flood the floor a bit.
