Quality Inn City Centre Coffs Harbour

On entering the reception foyer the host was friendly and checking in was smooth and easy.I was shown to the room which was clean and airey. well presented. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed that night but that only meant a short 5 minute walk to town to the cafes etc. I was a little apprehensive re the large trucks on the main road keeping me awake at night but I didn't hear one of them. The next morning a twenty minute walk exposed me to a no graffitti beautiful town with a fantastic beach and boating facilities. I've decided on my next visit to stay longer and relax at both the venue and the town.

Very good hotel to stay at. Clean and close to everything at a good price. Parking was hard to get if you come back from a dinner (had to park in the last spot which was disabled). Breakfast that was included was ok but nothing special.

We stayed in the 3br townhouse, which is crowded and has shaking beds. No air conditioners in upstairs bedrooms (very hot in summer in these tiny rooms). Good kitchen and LCD TV.

Modern, clean but a bit of road noise due to location. Last minute rate was quite good.

Very clean, many rooms modernised and smart. Meals well done. Only slight downside is slight road noise. Highly recommended.

The rooms were extremely basic,having a television but no dvd player and a very ordinary mattress although the room and bathroom were very clean. The staff seemed friendly and I was greeted with a friendly smile and a small carton of REAL milk. I booked a room with a balcony; the balcony was the walkway to and from the room door. For $158 for Friday and $178 for Saturday night, even in peak time it was overpriced.I doubt I would stay there again.

The hotel is a little dull yet quite clean. I don't know about this Continental breakfast business! When I was last on the continent of Europe I recall a little more than fruit, toast, cereal and yoghurt to eat. I think it is an Australian way of saying "we know you folks love a hot breakfast so we going to hit you in your pocket for it!!" I mean for $150 a night you would think it reasonable to throw in a couple of eggs and a slice of bacon. At most they would get 3.25 stars from me, and i'm a generous man!! No where near as nice as the Quality Inn in Grafton where they have a lovely buffet hot breakfast, fruit, and the lot including a superb restaurant and bar.

The staff were very helpful. I arrived before check in time, to make an appointment which had been changed to an earlier time, and the room had just been cleaned so I was able to check in, freshen up and make my appointment on time. It made everything so mach easier for me.

Meals and service were fantastic. Room very comfortable.
