Quay West Resort Bunker Bay

Excellent location. Studio units are big with kitchenette which was great. All over great place to go as it is right on the beach. Staff were typically uninterested like many hotels in Australia.

The food at the resort was a little disappointing. However the staff were fantastic and friendly and always willing to help.

Expensive but a great experience, beach was crystal clear and the 25m pool was very enjoyable. Staff were friendly and helpful. It is not near any towns but restaurant was quite reasonable and good.

Wonderful and serene place to stay. Highly recommend staying in a lake view villa as it's so close to the beach. Though you have a bit of steep hill to walk up to go to breakfast and use the hotel facilities. The views from the restaurant and pool are spectacular. The room we stayed in was a studio room with a small kitchenette, but was just perfect for the 2 of us. Loved the big bath in the modern bathroom too. It's also a good base for the wineries and local attractions.

We went to Quay West for my birthday with my husband and two teenage children and although we had a lovely time together, the service could have been better. On our arrival there was no suggestion to book early for dinner and as a result we had to eat our meal virtually in our laps in the bar area. The food was pretty basic and proved to be expensive. We finally got to order a bottle of wine after the meals were half eaten, as they forgot to take our order after giving us the menu! The next day was the AFL grand final, so naturally my husband wanted to watch it on the big screen tv, (we had a small one in the living room and a larger one in the bedroom. -channel not available on big screen -phoned 2-3hrs before start -hour later someone came but left for instructions -hour later I ph again -game in 3rd quarter someone came but wanted to turn off the tv's etc. $500/night I expect prompt service and preferably by people that were too young to really care.

Bunker Bay is in a beautiful setting, and if you go there in the migrating season for whales you are bound to see them breaching and with there young.Well worth the visit.

we enjoyed our stay at the resort as it was in close access to all there is to see in the Margaret River wine region.The setting was magic and we all commented on what a great stay it is in the winter months.The breakfast buffett was A class.

The studio room is very spacious, includes a small kitchentte with a microwave oven and Bar fridge, Toaster and Kettle also provided, the room was very clean, the king size bed is extremely comfortable, the bathroom is huge which also has a very large and deep bath. The lakeside rooms overlook a small water way which has lots of singing frogs, if you are wanting a peaceful quiet night I suggest a garden view room. The beach is only a minute away from your room. The view from the restaurant is magnificient especially in winter as you may see some whales migrating south. The breakfast was a bargain at $25 prepaid and included as much Champagne as you could handle first thing in the morning. Highly recommend this location for that romatic getaway

Fantastic stay, always love it down there and would highly recommend, especially when they have their "specials" on, making it very affordable. You can be assured of outstanding service and the restaurants provide top quality.

We would defiately stay again. We had some small problems with the original room. There were no questions asked, the staff instantly moved us to another one rather than have us inconvieneced. Wait staff a the reseraunt (for breakfast) we helpfull but not intrusive.

Excellent villas set in private grounds. only a short stroll to the beach along the boardwalk, perfect for sunrise and sunset. Very attentive staff. Short drive to the wineries.

We found the 2 bedroom villa a great getaway with friends.The view was great,and the restaurant was certainly not overly priced for the area,nad the food was delicious.Will certainly stay there again.

Great location and the staff were very helpful. We rented a 2 bedroom apartment and a studio apartment, which had an interconnecting door which was very handy. The 2 bedroom apartment had seen better days, as the wooden floor was very scratched and the sofa looked a bit grubby, especially compared to the studio apartment. I guess that is just wear and tear from families, although I think the sofa covers were due for a wash. Overall, the service was very good. We requested, and received, an apartment near the car park, as we had 2 elderly ladies with us. Apart from the sofas, the apartments were very clean, and the kitchens well equiped and tidy. We will be staying again.

Lovely quiet location. Restaurant is quite good but rather pricey.

I was in 2 minds about bunker bay resort, as for 5 star a rating it definatly was for location and veiws and our room overlooking the lake was beautiful as for the room itself it was definatly worn and tired. shower was dirty and room service seemed lazy. rubbish bin was dirty and floors were unclean.
