Booked this hotel for a works trip. Lovely large room (despite having booked a single room). The hotel isin a great location and some rooms even have a sea view. The breakfast was a real dissapointment, buffet style cooked breakfast with no option of any cooked to order items. Very small portion of toast brought to table (equivalent to 1 slice of thin bread each!). Continental breakfatst options such as rolls, cheese and ham would have been much better. Would stay again for the location but would book a room only and eat elsewhere.
I arrived to find that I had been upgraded to a suite as they believed we would be 4, although the confirmation clearly said 2. The sofa bed had been made up, and we wanted it to be re-set up as a sofa but it was impossible to contact any staff who could help. Otherwise, the location was great, the rooms were clean, although not finished to a very high standard, and the breakfast was reasonable.
The bedroom was huge and the buffet breakfast was good.
The room I stayed in was a bit dated and desperately needed an update. The room had tea making facilities which was good, but lacked double glazing, therefore suffered from traffic noise and there was a night club nearby that pumped out dance music until 3.00am (Thursday night). The reception, bar and restaurant were good. The health club was excellent with a really nice pool.
Good location but can be noisy. The number of corridors, steps and doors to reach room a bit off putting - especially dragging luggage. Parking in parking station - very crowded when we visited.
really nice hotel in great location, only draw back was the parking facilities, had to park at the local car park at £15.00 for 24 hours..however would definately stay there again!
I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel as from the outside it appears a bit run down (the windows need cleaning). My room was great as I unexpectedly had a sea view which I was not charged for. The pool was good but the gym needs updating and air conditioning but the staff were very helpful. The only drawback for me was the lack of parking although I did manage to park outside the hotel although I think I was just lucky!.windows need cleaning
A very enjoyable stay I found all of the staff to be helpful and friendly. Room was clean and quite a decent size my only complaint is the noise outside at 3pm waking me and keping me awake for another 45 minutes. Overal I would use the hotel again.
Overall a good hotel. Could do with a lick of paint in many areas. Staff friendly and helpful but not crawly. Cleanliness and the speed of the housekeeping staff when it came to clean our room was very impressive. Would recommend.
Excellent gymnasium, pool sauna and steamroom which are well staffed and in good order. I only stayed the one night but am returning soon for a three night stay so should be able to provide a more accurate assessment. First impressions are that although clean the place is a little tired and strating to get run down. The room was spacious but again a little frayed around the edges.
I have stayed at the Queens for 4yrs in a row. It is the best with the rooms and service all staff are keen to help. I did try other hotels but ended up leaving and booking back into the queens! Anyone who stays there will not be disappointed!
Worth paying that bit extra for a sea-view!
Comfy bed, nice breakfast and nice pool.
With a little care and maintenance this hotel could easily up grade however, the wear and tare was obvious and the service was a little overly pretentious.
The reception, bar, dining facilities are good but the other areas are now getting 'tired' and need a redecoration and modernisation. Staff very pleasant and helpful and excfellent location for 'The Lanes' or if you have business matters in the City Centre.
Customer Service excellent. Breakfast outstanding. Room very comfortable with beautiful sea view. Overall excellent, would definitely stay here again.
Excellent location with good facilities. Staff polite and hotel has a good atmosphere
Very comfortable room, friendly staff and had an excellent choice at breakfast. Ideal location for shopping and eating out. Would definitely go again.
I had a great stay at the hotel. Will advise friends to stay as I was satisfied with the hotel's high standards.
The room was exceptional!
