Quest Clocktower on Lygon is situated in the heart of bustling Lygon Street - Australia's restaurant capital. Your feasting is not confined to the eclectic mix of restaurants, cafes and cakes - the renowned Jimmy Watson's wine bar, Readings original bookshop, La Mama Theatre and the Nova Cinema are only part of the appetizer on the vast menu provided by Lygon Street and its surrounds. You will find yourself only blocks from Melbourne University, RMIT University, Royal Melbourne Hospital, The Women's Hospital and the new Melbourne Museum set in the serenely beautiful Carlton and Exhibition Gardens adjacent to the World Heritage listed Exhibition Buildings - seat of the first Australian Parliament. The Melbourne Zoo is also only a quick hop away. The Melbourne CBD is only a brisk walk of less than 2 Kms or even a quicker trip on one of our iconic trams. The Noted Victoria Market is our corner store, but since it closes by 5.00 pm we rely thereafter on the supermarket next door for our shopping needs. Quest Clocktower on Lygon offers a choice of spacious 1 or 2 self-contained bedroom apartments with ample kitchen and laundry facilities. PLEASE NOTE: A LIMITED NUMBER of Secure undercover parks are also available for a small fee. We are a NON-SMOKING property and charge a fee for cleaning if you smoke in the apartment.

Getting there:If travelling from the airport we recommend a taxi at approximately $45.00 - $50.00 a trip, otherwise Jetbus will drop you off at our property at a minimal fee. Please ring the property direct and let us book it for you. Driving into Melbourne from the Hume Highway, turn left into Grattan Street and then left into Drummond Street. We are 100 metres up on the left-hand side. Driving in from the south, get onto Victoria Street then turn into Drummond Street, we are north of Grattan Street on the left-hand side. PLEASE NOTE: Secure undercover parking is also available at a fee of $15 per night per vehicle.
Check-in Procedure:A credit card imprint and some form of Photo ID will be required upon checkin. We are a NON-SMOKING property and a cleaning cost will be charged for smoking in the apartment. Those requiring a CAR PARK MUST check in with Reception First before being shown where to park.
Car parking:A LIMITED Number of Secure undercover car parks are available at a fee of $17.00 per night per vehicle (Limit of 1 Vehicle per Booking). Height Limit of 1.9 Metres. GUESTS REQUIRING CAR PARKING MUST FIRST CHECK IN AT RECEPTION.
Child Policy:All Guests MUST stay in a bed, with all children allocated to a bed or cot of their own - NO SHARING with parents. Cots (Limited Availability) available for $5.00 per night.
Staff were very helpful & professional.It was a very quiet location, a bit of a maze to find our room but it was very clean & a comfortable bed. We would stay here again
What a fantastic surprise to find a gorgeous, clean and very central motel at such a great price. I challenge anyone to find the same in the Melbourne CBD! We will be staying here again and again!

We enjoyed our stay of 4 days at the Clocktower Apartments. The rooms were generally clean and tidy - although there were ants in the kitchen and the lounge room, which were annoying. It's not a new complex and some of the paintwork needed refreshing. However, the service was very good and the location was good too -close to heaps of restaurants, the zoo and the city.
Lygon Street is an excellent location. Parking is a bit of a nuisance, but OK for the area.
The sofa was very uncomfortable for sitting due to the use of two mattresses to make the "bed aspect" of the sofa bed more comfortable. The sofa aslo was very grubby, and too well-worn for this type and price of accomodation. Be aware that even though the apartment was listed as 1-4 people it means that if there are three of you, and you choose to utilise the sofa bed as well as the two queen sized beds, ie one bed per person, the sofa bed comes at an extra person charge of $25 a night. It is expected you will use the two queen beds and not the sofa bed for the listed price per night.
Security poor. We were burgled the first night of our stay, through a window left unsecured before we arrived. A security door outside had a broken lock. Other defects included a noisy and flooding toilet cistern and a broken sofa bed. In general we consider the property had become run-down since the time we had previously stayed there.

Roomy accommodation, close to City and restaurants. Will stay again.
Great location / facilities but outfit is getting a little old and tired.
