With rooms looking out over Western Park, or a quiet courtyard with its own water feature, Quest Ponsonby is located in the heart of one of Auckland's oldest and most picturesque suburbs, and yet is only a short walk to the city centre, making it the perfect location for the corporate or leisure traveller. Turn left from our entrance and you're immediately in the heart of Ponsonby Road, famous for its variety of wonderful restaurants, cafes and bars and for its up-market fashion, style and home furnishing shops, all within a few minutes walk of our choice of studio, one and two-bedroom serviced apartments. Alternatively, a short walk in the opposite direction will take you to Auckland's famous Karangahape road, with its concentration of night clubs, alternative lifestyle shops and venues and an ever-expanding number of ethnic and cultural outlets selling goods and produce from all over the world. Auckland's Queen Street and central business district, and the stylish Viaduct Harbour are also well within walking distance.

Getting there:Located at the Karangahape Road end of Ponsonby Road opposite Western Park. Things to do: Quest Ponsonby is a great weekend shopping destination. Within easy walking distance are a myriad of up-market shops, bars restaurants and cafes. Or visit the racier Karangahape Road with its nightclubs, alternative lifestyle shopping and venues, and multitude of ethnic stores. For the sports fan Quest is ideally located only five minutes' drive from Eden Park, site of many national and international rugby and cricket finals. Or walk to the Viaduct Harbour, accomdation for Rugby World Cup, and a jumping off place for many of Auckland's most popular water-based recreational activities as well as being another centre for fine dining. From the waterfront you can also catch a ferry to Waiheke Island, home to some of New Zealand's best boutique wineries.

very small room without a window, new and clean, good location
Small but lovely room, very comfy King bed, great shower. Self parking was good. Very quiet. Perfect location for a show at the Thirsty Dog on K Road. We will definately stay here again.

Quest Ponsonby was great. It was in a great location, it was on the same road and only a few minutes away from shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. It was also really close to K road, which is a popular shopping destination as well as Queen street. The room was very clean and the hotel very secure. It was well worth the money I paid and I would stay there again.
Great location. Room was quite small but very clean. Corridors with the brick walls felt very cold and unfriendly but have found lots of apartment/hotels very similar.
very noisy, because no staff available during evening hours we could not solve the problem. And staff is not helpfull
Rooms are small with king sized beds, okay but a smaller bed would allow a more spacious feel. Some noise from the busy street environment and a water feature that runs all night. Value for money was good as we had a special deal.

Wet floor shower not designed correctly as water flows towards the toilet in the ensuite and sits around the toilet until it evaporates - room G4.
This is nicely situated and the Japanese Restaurant across the road (Zipangu) is worth visiting as cheap and authentic Japanese food. Rooms are nice with a good sized bed. Will certainly visit here again.
