location was good and the staff professional and accommodating. One challenge I found was that the taxi driver did not know/ could not get to the hotel so dropped me at kings cross at night in the pouring rain which entailed walking round the neighbourhood having to ask three people where to go - this would not be a problem in the day I suspect but was a bit off putting at night in the area. The room was nicely decorated if small, but I was given a basement room which was quite smelly and damp feeling, and I was a little concerned that the sheets appeared to have either not been washed or not washed properly as there was definitely hair in them. If I had not arrived so tired and late, I would have asked for another room but as it was I decided to just put up with it. A colleague staying on one of the higher floors seemed to have none of the problems that I did - so if I stayed again I woudl definitely ensure not a basement room. The shower may also be problematic for older or disabled people as the shower door was so heavy/stuck that it was impossible even for me to close it - so it would be very difficult for someone with difficulties. The roof garden however is fabulous and the local restaurants and cafes are good - plus of course the central sydney location. I would recommend this hotel to a friend, but suggest strongly that they check the room/ floor that they will be allocated and get detailed instructions on how to get there for teh taxi driver!
Would stay here again. Old style facade but very modern inside. The only problem we had was that some inconsiderate person had been smoking in our room the night before. We were changed with many apologies. Not the hotels fault.

I was very pleased with the level of appointment in this unassuming serviced apartment. It provided great value for money and while it doesn't have a pool, Bondi beach is only 20min away by public transport. In the heart of Kings Cross, it is close to supermarkets, banks, travel agents, restaurants and bars, the train and bus etc. It made my stay in an unfamiliar city most enjoyable. The staff were very helpful and the only cause for complaint was I had to wait 15min for my room to be ready. I just read the complimentary newspaper while I waited.
great location for night life, very clean.great staff. did have a heavy smell of bleach in the room. would stay again very happy
The room was on the smallish side (not called a petite suite for nothing), but it was clean and comfortable and fine for one. Great location - 100m from the train station and a 20 minute walk to the city. It's one street back from the main drag in Kings Cross, so there was no intrusion from the sounds of the hustle and bustle. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Surprisingly quiet for location
The people working on the desk were incredibly helpful. Caroline printed maps for us and suggested some great walks and places worth visiting. If we are back in Sydney we will stay there again for sure.
The rooms are very compact but well set out, clean and quite sharply decorated. Bed and pillows are comfortable. The staff were also very pleasant and helpful. My only gripe is the shower. The curtain is not long enough and is not broad enough to cover the space - so it's impossible to have a shower without completely drenching the bathroom, to the extent that you should remember to leave your clothes outside the bathroom.
Reception staff were very helpful and allowed me early check in which was appreciated after an international flight . The room was smallish but perfect for a romantic stay . The shower power was excellent. No noise was heard from Kings Cross at night . Would definately reccommend !
Great location. Walk to Kings Cross or the Station. Valet parking only ($35 for the privilege). No minibar in the room, so bring your own if staying in, or coming back late looking for munchies. Rooms very clean. And quiet!!!! Couldn't believe it considering how close the hotel is to everything.
The room had a great aesthetic but a bit on the small side and our room looked straight onto another building. Really comfortable bed. Being in Kings Cross on Saturday night meant there was lots of noise from drunks in the street so if you are going there for rest its probably not that good.
Nice rooms and very clean, but very complicated and confusing check in and check out, became very stressful. got information wrong.. overall a nice hotel just a bad set up..
good helpful staff good room service late check out helpful
The staff at Quest were exceptional, rooms were immaculate I will be returning thank you
The hotel staff were great!
The Storrier Potts Point was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. The Staff were the friendliest & most helpful we have ever met. The room was great & had everything you would need & both it & the interior of the hotel were very clean. The breakfast was fantastic, & we got it at a very good rate. We would recommend it (& already have) to anyone. We stay at a lot of hotels & were very impressed by this one.
Fantastic service, really lovely friendly and helpful. Food is amazing and very affordable, and the rooms are so comfortable. My new "home away from home" :-)
The Storrier far surpassed my expectations, amazing service, luxuriously decorated, and super quiet considering it's handy proximity to the happening nightlife of Potts Point and Kings Cross. Would definitely stay again.
