This Quinta is situated in one of the most beautiful and enchanting parts of the island of Madeira, exactly in the heart of the parish of Monte. The hotel has been developed from a former Madeiran Quinta about 17.000 square meters of which 5000 comprise formally organized traditional gardens.
Quinta do Monte has 38 rooms with private balcony with a superb view of the magnificent gardens, a large fully equipped bathroom, telephone, cable television, mini-bar and air conditioning. The 4 Suites have a bedroom, sitting room, bathroom with Jacuzzi and a spacious balcony.
Apart from the above mentioned characteristics, there are vast areas for leisure, a Cocktail bar, a spacious restaurant with a capacity for 80 people and a winter garden, a reading room, a games room, indoor heated swimming pool, whirlpool, Turkish bath, meeting rooms, fitness room and a chapel.
Besides the little streets, Monte was once served by a railway line, which was deactivated in the middle of the 1940’s. In the meantime, another means of transport came to take place of the picturesque image of the train. A cable car now links the center of Funchal to Monte reinforcing together with the toboggans, the tourist interest of this charming place.

When leaving the airport, you will follow the main road to Funchal. On your way, then you will find a sign with the name of the region "Monte". You turn in that direction, you just follow the name Monte and once arrived there, you will see a sign with the name "Quinta do Monte". We will be waiting for you! |
