Great service and location - only a short walk to town. The girls at reception were very friendly and the rooms were much better than we expected. We would definitely stay here next time!
Stayed in a Park Motel unit for 2 nights whilst visiting the Franz Josef Glacier in April 2011. with my wife and our son aged 12. Our unit was in a group of 8 in a wing of a large busy complex that obviously serves a wide range of patrons including bus groups. Our room was modern, clean and well equipped, suited us fine especially as we self-catered Staff were pleasant and helpful. Wireless internet service did not work for me but managed to use computers in the reception lobby which provided reasonable access though not cheap at $1 per 15 minutes (often the going rate in NZ). Despite the numbers of people at the resort (and plethora of young people) we had two relatively quiet nights sleep, so can't complain.

We got what we expected at a reasonable price. Happy with the location.
We had a lovely tree lodge. The room was lovely and the bed very comfortable. Excellent facilities and beautiful setting.
cannot fault this hotel looking forward to staying here again in the future thanks
We got better than we paid for - extremely cheap, rather small rooms that are absolutely fine! The food is nice, the hot spa at the end of the day was delightful. If you're looking for good quality inexpensive accommodation and aren't fussed about a small room (because, like us, you've got far better things to spend your money on), I would recommend it. The only caveat is that the ceiling was rather thin, so the upstairs horde of stampeding buffalo could have been a problem if they'd been late-night party-goers.
The only unfavorable comment I have was that the walls were paper thin the man next door had his TV on till 3am and this was right by my head, he stairs to upstairs were right next door and people clumped up and down all night and the man in the room above go up constantly, then the young people all returned at 3am and the gravel and noise outside was very loud so I do advise earplugs which I got for the second night.
Had a tree hut which is in a lovely setting. Didn't like the fact I had to wash my dishes and fill the jug from the bathroom sink it was a pain. Would stay again.
We stayed in a Tree Lodge room which felt like it had its own little piece of wilderness. So many accomodation options here and the bar is a great place to unwind after a day of hiking on the glaciers.
great for the price would stay again food was great
The room was clean, but small. The hotel complex was nicely laid out with a good bar and restaurant; one also had the opportunity to cook one's own food. Washing facilities were functional but in need of an upgrade.
We found this hotel to be very good in all regards and recommend it to others. The restaurant/bar was a vibrant place with good service, our tree house unit was in a superb setting set in the bush with a great deck to relax on, only downer was the weather but you cant win everything lol
Fairly compact, but all necessary facilities, friendly, courteous staff
Fairly new set-up, with good facilities. A short walk into the main part of town, but this means a quiet location. I would thoroughly recommend the restaurant on site for its good, well-priced food. Would stay here again.
Log cabin could have better insulation; but was OK overall. And they have Discovery channel, which was awesome. Nothing exciting could be said about the food in restaurant but bartenders were very friendly. Good friendly environment.
Good rooms, good location, helpful staff, but the drunken backpackers can get a little loud.
The Tree House suite was extremely comfortable, mountain view from balcony was a 'bonus'. Great atmosphere at the bar - food good too.
The surroundings of this hotel are superb with services and excellent bush walks in close proximity. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to experience this countrys Southern Rainforest.
I really liked this place, it felt good from the beginning. Staff very obliging. Every was fresh & crisp & clean, great value for my money
great place, with all you need on-site,(ie restaurant/bar) good value.
