"I've stayed here on several occasions, most recently in Jan 2006. I shall not be returning again. The main reception area and bar are clean and bright but upstairs the rest of the hotel is shabby and in need of refurbishment. Corridors are scruffy with, for example, graffitti on the wallpaper by the lift. The decor in the bedroom was better but the bed was uncomfortale because the springs had gone. Even the towels in the bathroom were well past their best. " - Anonymous


"I knew this hotel many years ago when we lived nearby. Its rural position has changed by development of offices and other commercial premises close by but it retains pleasant grounds. The recent additions of conference facilities, reception , leisure and restaurant are of a high standard. The older public parts of the hotel are tired but there seemed to be some upgrading in hand. All 103 bedrooms have an ensuite bathroom, satellite TV, hairdryer, trouser press, direct dial telephones with modem connectivity and tea and coffee making facilities. No smoking rooms and a room designed for the disabled is also available (access category 3).

The hotel is the perfect base from which to explore the East Yorkshire Coast and Yorkshire Wolds. The historic market town of Beverley is close by and the city of York and Castle Howard are excellent day trips. Princes Quay Shopping Centre and Hornsea Freeport are both nearby.

Getting there: From York:
Take the A1079 York to Hull road and follow the A164 signs for the Humber Bridge. After approx 2 miles you will approach a roundabout, go straight ahead to a second roundabout, again go straight ahead. At the third roundabout you come to turn first left, you will then come to a fourth roundabout, again take first left into Grange Park Lane. The hotel is at the end of this lane.

From the M62/A63:
Take the A164 to Beverley and you will come to a roundabout, go straight ahead. Drive down this route for approx 200 metres and you will come to a second roundabout, take first left. After approx 1 mile you will approach a third roundabout, go straight on for approx 2 miles. Look for sign for Willerby Shopping Park. You will then come to a fourth roundabout, take the exit to the right and you will approach a fifth roundabout, take the first left into Grange Park Lane. The hotel can be found at the end of this lane.
