Ramayana Koh Chang Resort is located on the central trip of Koh Chang Island on Chaiyachet-Klong Prao Beach. The Flight from Bangkok is just 40 minutes by the Bangkok Airways. The Resort is only 15 minutes from Ao Supparod Pier. There is a wide rage facility at the Resort including a swimming pool, and shuttle bus service to tourist attraction areas. A trip up to Bang Bao fishing village shopping and wandering fresh seafood dining is easy, but the most popular excursion is marine activity at neighboring islands, Koh Rang, Koh Wai, Koh Yuak, Koh Kradad and several Islands, which are all easily accessible by speed boat. stayed at this hotel with my girlfriend we found the hotel to be well run, friendly staff, good breakfast selection.the only bad point the hotel is not located by the beach although the hotel do offer beach facilities at another hotel about 5 km away with free transfer to that resort.maybe a little overprice.however a great place to stay if you are a couple.
everything was perfect except the food.
Hotel exchange rate will add another 10% to your bill. Very nice hotel, but no beach.
The grounds of the hotel are great, the rooms are very well presented and a good size, however, the bathrooms are a bit of a dissapointment. Whilst on the whole the majority of the staff were extremely polite and courteous there were moments when where we felt a little let down. There are a number of add-on's which we also felt were a little over-priced, one of which are the cars into town, which are essential until you find out that you can flag them down in the road for a 3rd of the price
The Ramayana is a nice resort on Koh Chang. not all romms have the same quality. The staff is extremely friendly and helpfult. I enjoyed my stay !! Come back for sure !
I had a wonderful time staying at the resort. It was a very beautiful place where I would recommend to anyone who want to go th Koh Chang.
A nice place. Stayed 3 nights here with my wife and 14 month old son. A nice, clean, spacious room with unqiue designed bathroom (wood beams - lovely decor). Room had a balcony over the pool, with landscaped gardens between. Breakfast was adequate and room service very pricey, but all in all a very nice place to stay. Do note that this resort is NOT by a beach - they have a private beach to which shuttle transport is provided. Security was good, and all staff attentive. There aren't many other facilities near the resort, which may be a good thing but not if you need emergency nappies for a baby...
Be aware that this hotel does not have any direct access to the beach. Hotel provides with a shuttle to a private beach, every hour. However, the garden is beautifull and peacefull, the rooms are very big and comfortable and the service very kind.
This hotel is lovely, excellent restaurant and pool. This is a place you instantly feel relaxed in.
Staff are very courteous and provide good service.
