We had an amazing stay. The food was great, the staff were really friendly and the kidz club was excellent. Snorkelling with the fish just arms length away was fantastic and our son tried to catch the fish with his bare hands! The pool was a bit cold for us, but the beach made up for it!! Beautiful grounds and facilities - we would definitely go back!

Garden Room

At The Rarotongan Beach Resort & Spa, our 54 Garden Rooms are nestled within the lush tropical gardens, and offer the full range of standard features and services. Half of these standard guest rooms are on ground level, the other half are on a second storey – but still no taller than a coconut tree! The Garden Rooms are located in our 400 and 500 villages, and are decorated in a contemporary Pacific style. Garden Rooms – despite being set within the gardens amidst hibiscus, banana and coconut palms – are about 30 seconds walk from the water’s edge of Aroa Beach and Marine Reserve! All Garden Rooms are interconnected, affording great flexibility for families and groups.

Deluxe Beachside Suite

Located beachside on the white sands of Aroa Beach, close to the water’s edge (but without a full direct ocean view), the Deluxe Beachside Suites are spacious, modern accommodations with a delightful tropical ambience. All Deluxe Suites in the 100 and 200 villages are at ground level and feature a spa bath and private open-air outdoor shower. The Deluxe Beachside Suites differ from the Deluxe Beachfront Suites in their aspect to the lagoon, with the Deluxe Beachside Suites being close to the beach but at an angle not affording a full direct sea view. The Rarotongan offers 18 Deluxe Beachside Suites, and these are located in our 100 and 200 villages, with three other Deluxe Beachside Suites nestled within each of the 400, 500 and 600 villages. The Deluxe Beachside Suites are ideal for guests seeking the comfort and convenience of extra space and amenities, plus closer proximity to the resort’s central facilities, whether couples or families.

Beachfront Room

The Rarotongan Beach Resort & Spa is Rarotonga’s most beachfront resort, with an enviable location right along the island’s best beach, Aroa Beach, overlooking the sparkling blue waters of Aroa Lagoon, the Lagoon of Love. The 24 Beachfront Rooms are standard guest rooms located on absolute beachfront, enjoying views across the white sandy beach and blue lagoon, as well as excellent views of the island’s stunning tropical sunsets. The Beachfront Rooms offer the full range of our standard features and services, and are located in our 300 village at the western end of Aroa Beach. Half of these standard guest rooms are on ground level, the other half are on a second storey. Which one is better depends on whether you prefer direct access to the beach from your verandah, or a vaulted ceiling and views across the beach and lagoon from your upper-storey deck. Interconnected Beachfront Rooms are also available on request but subject to availability.

Beachfront Suite

Situated directly on the white sands of Aroa Beach with superb lagoon views, the Beachfront Suites are The Rarotongan’s premier suites and offer a distinctive island experience with beautiful appointments including a fabulous Italian tiled bathroom with black pearl accents, rain tree vanity top with over-size designer porcelain basin, commissioned lighting and artwork, cane furniture, tropical kauri wardrobe and desk, and excellent indoor-outdoor flow through wide-opening sliding doors framed in tropical kauri. And with their rattan-lined walls and thatched roof, staying in a Beachfront Suite feels like being in your own Polynesian paradise – complete with all the creature comforts, of course. Set within our 600 and 700 villages, The Rarotongan’s Beachfront Suites are a stylish, stunning new suite complete with an absolute-beachfront location on the secluded eastern end of Aroa Beach, for added privacy. Beachfront Suites are larger than standard Beachfront Rooms.

Deluxe Beachfront Suite

Located beachfront on the white sands of Aroa Beach with a direct sea view, the Deluxe Beachfront Suites are spacious, modern accommodations with a delightful tropical ambience. All Deluxe Beachfront Suites are located in our 200 village at ground level and feature a spa bath and private open-air outdoor shower. The Rarotongan offers just 6 Deluxe Beachfront Suites, ideal for guests seeking the comfort and convenience of extra space and amenities, along with an absolute beachfront location and views of the eastern end of Aroa Beach and Lagoon – along with those dazzling tropical sunsets.

Grand Beachfront Suite

The Rarotongan Beach Resort & Spa offers just 4 Grand Beachfront Suites offering absolute beachfront locations directly on Aroa Beach overlooking the Marine Reserve and located at ground level in our 100 and 200 villages. They feature very large, spacious open-plan interiors with cool terracotta tiles throughout, a Californian super king bed, bathroom with spa bath / shower, private open air shower, dining and sitting areas (with sound system and LCD TV). All 4 Grand Beachfront Suites are fully self-contained, with a kitchen featuring breakfast bar, microwave, stovetop, refrigerator with freezer, and coffee maker. The expansive verandah offers excellent indoor-outdoor flow and leads directly onto Aroa Beach. Each Suite also features a private upper sundeck with bird’s eye views of the beach and lagoon. Suites accept up to 3 adults (with the third person charge), or up to 2 adults and 4 (four) children, making them ideal for larger families.

Honeymoon Bungalow

Nestled in its own completely secluded, lush tropical garden, this is your own personal paradise, complete with your own water features including private swimming pool, luminous open-air shower, outdoor starlet spa bath on the verandah, and couples sauna! Featuring elegant polished tropical wooden floors, rattan-lined walls, chocolate-coloured water-hyacinth furniture, LCD TV, privately-commissioned lighting laced with black pearl shell, and spacious bathroom with raintree vanity top and over-sized double basins, the Honeymoon Bungalow offers an incredible sense of freedom with spectacular indoor-outdoor flow through four wide openings onto the verandah. The Honeymoon Bungalow features a unique design with a broad wraparound verandah and a high, thatched roof providing a fabulous sense of space and island romance, and the broad encircling deck means that sun-lovers can follow the sun all day in complete privacy.

Two bedroom Beachside Suite

The Rarotongan Beach Resort & Spa offers just 2 x Two-Bedroom Beachside Suites, and these are in very high demand. They feature a sitting and dining room which opens out onto a spacious verandah. a master bedroom (with king bed) which also opens out onto the verandah, a second bedroom with two single beds, a full kitchen,a tiled bathroom with spa bath/shower, and a separate toilet. The sitting room is equipped with LCD TV and DVD, sofa, armchairs, and dining table and chairs that can be used for dining inside or al fresco. These Suites accept up to 4 adults (at no extra room charge), or 2 adults and up to 4 children. The second bedroom can be configured to best suit your requirements, whether that be as two single beds, as two bunk beds (ie 4 beds), or as a double bed for a couple. And the master bedroom can be converted from one king bed to two single beds, in the case of 4 adults who need to be accommodated as 2 x twin share.

Villa Onemaru 'Soothing Sands' Villa

. This is a 3-bedroom villa complex complete with its own large freshwater swimming pool, ensuites, spa bathroom, outdoor shower, living / dining room, home theatre system, full kitchen as well as outdoor mobile BBQ kitchen, great sunning and entertainment deck - and the piece de resistance, its very own Games Lounge complete with pool table, table soccer, table tennis, board games and card table. There’s even a thatched Pool Pavilion which is so flexible it can be used for the villa’s daybeds, for private dinners, for cocktail parties, birthday parties, Christmas parties, casual alfresco dining or even as a great space for small conferences or breakout meetings. Villa Onemaru, a superb new facility for groups wanting to enjoy being together in a deluxe setting complete with everything a full service resort offers – but all contained within your own private villa resort paradise!

The hotel and the staff were great, very helpful and friendly, unfortunately we had varied weather but you can`t order that.The position on the beach by the lagoon was terrific and easy car or bus ride to town.

The hotel has lagoon with awesome marine life. Snorkelling there is fantastic. The food in the restaurant is fresh and delicious, a good choice of drinks in the bar. Island Nights (dance show) is very worth to see. Our room was ok, but not the best, coz located somewhere in the backyard. The territory is nice, full of flowers and various greenery. The hotel run a lot of activities during the day like walking tours, fish feeding or hats making.
