"the reception we received as guests was very unwelcoming, in fact i felt it was an inconvenience, had i been notified of the procedure for late arrivals, this is what to expect then it would not have been so bad. But the service on arrival was very unfriendly, had i not been so tired i would have looked for other accomodation.after changing rooms on the first day, we had left a couple of things in our previous room, we notified the reception straigh away, even prior to the room being cleaned by housekeeping, and we still did not get back our belongings, it was only on the last day, that we asked again if they had found our items, to which they suddenly found a leather belt. i felt that they should have notified us immediately." - Geoff Weston

With impressive views overlooking the Gold Coast Broadwater across to Sea World, BreakFree Rays offers a unique waterfront location close to all major theme parks, Marina Mirage and Main Beach. Located in Southport at the northern end of the Gold Coast, the resort is just ten minutes from Sea World and 15 minutes from Surfers Paradise CBD. Offering the combination of a calm and secluded location away from the hustle-and-bustle of the main tourist hot spots, the resort is still close enough to offer easy access to major attractions. Accommodation consists of self-contained one bedroom apartments with large balconies, fully-equipped kitchen and laundry facilities. Onsite recreational facilities include a swimming pool, heated spa, gymnasium, BBQ area and tour desk. Magnificent beaches, shopping and restaurants are just a short stroll away.

Gold Coast Airport - 30km south
From Brisbane Airport - follow Airport Drive and turn left onto the Gateway Motorway. Continue for approx. 25kms and the highway will become the Pacific Highway. Follow signs to the Gold Coast and take the Southport / Surfers Paradise exit. Follow signs to Southport taking Smith Street (which turns into North St) all the way to the end. Turn right at the traffic lights into Marine Parade and Rays Resort is on the right.
From Coolangatta Airport - turn left onto the Gold Coast Highway and follow the signs to Southport. The Gold Coast Highway turns into Marine Parade. Continue along Marine Parade and Rays Resort is on the left, just beyond Nind Street.
