By train (AVE) it take just 1 hour from Barcelona Airport.
Check-in Procedure:
If you don't arrive the day of your reservation or you cancel your stay after 12 p.m on the day prior to arrival, the hotel will charge the first night.
If when you arrive at the hotel, you have to change your reservation, you should tell it at the check-in to avoid a charge for that. If your reservation is for more than three days, you should tell it 24h before your check-out.
