"Probably not for the faint-hearted as the driveway is very steep if you need to walk up it, so best for people with cars or using taxis. Most of the guests are young people who work in Queenstown shops or tourism but they are a lovely friendly and helpful bunch. Cannot be compared with a 'normal' hotel but for the price, and location, is good value." - Eve Berry

Reavers Lodge, nestled on the edge of Ben Lomond Scenic Reserve is the newest and friendliest backpacker lodge in Queenstown. Located a convenient 10-minute stroll from the centre of Queenstown, we boast some of the best views and warmest rooms available for our accommodation type.
Reavers Lodge also houses many of Queenstown’s local workers who are full of great ideas for things to do & see. For this reason we prefer to call ourselves a giant home-stay instead of a hostel as the common areas are shared by all, and our residents and staff are very accommodating.
All activities within the Wakatipu area can be booked at our reception for your convenience by our experienced and helpful staff. We’ve tried it all and love to talk about our adventures, so tell us what you want from your holiday and we’ll help you plan the best time in Queenstown ever!
Reavers Lodge common areas include:
- Two internal courtyards

From Queenstown Airport:
We can arrange for 'Super Shuttle' to meet & greet you on arrival. Please contact us prior to arrival if you would like this service which is available from $15.00 for one person.
Alternatively taxis are readily available at a cost of approximately $25.00.
If driving - leave airport and turn right onto southern highway 6. Turn Left at the roundabout onto Frankton Rd. Turn right at the second roundabout onto Gorge Rd. Turn second left onto Robins Rd. Turn first right onto Hamilton Rd. We are located at the end of Hamilton Rd up the steep driveway immediately to the right of Pinewood Lodge sign. |

Office hours are 8am - 8pm, 7 days a week. Should you arrive after hours please follow the procedure listed on our reception door to summon our after hours staff. If leaving before 8am on departure day, please inform reception upon check in. |
