"my husband and I stayed in the Regal Riverside Hotel HK from Feb 7-12, 2008. the hotel's staff in the front desk are very polite and helpful. However, we were disappointed with few things. it's winter in HK in Febuary and the temperature was only between 7-14C. the room's heater was not functioning properly, we complained and the front desk explained that it's a central heater, the heater in the room would be on IF the temperature's under 10C, so finally we got a cold because it 's still cold when temp's only 12-13C. Also, they turned on the air-cond high in the lifts, lobby was so cold too. felt like 5C. the bath room's fan's only on if the Air-cond is on, very strange. there're also many mainland chinese staying in the hotel, they chatted loudly outside their rooms, ran in the corridor and banged the doors. They did it around 11:00 pm - 2:00am every night, I found hard to sleep. they're also pushing in and out of the lifts. It's very annoying. " - Anonymous

"Good, clean hotel in Shatin. Location is a bit far from downtown, MTR. About 15 minutes walk across the river to Shatin MTR. Popular hotel for Chinese tourist, so expect the facilities to be quite crowded (elevator, breakfast queue, etc.)." - Preeda Iramaneerat
