"We stayed for 3 nights over Easter. We were offered a room on the 'road side' which was very noisy at night. It's not that people below were being excessively noisy, but the sound just carried up, and it seemed to go on all night long. At the very least the room needs to have much better sound proofing. After 2 nights of this, we complained and we were then given a room on the 'view' side of the hotel. Not only was the room bigger, with a great view, but also quieter, and with a terrace you can sit out on. The location is absolutely fantastic, nearest metro less than 5 min and right next to all the best shops. Breakfast was very good, mixture of continental and cooked, staff very helpful. If you can stay on the 'view' side of the hotel, then you will not be disappointed, with views of the castle and Lisbon rooftops. General decor and upkeep of hotel good. We were scammed by the taxi driver from the airport who charged us 17 euros, instead of the 9 euros we paid on the way back. " - Prakash Chauhan
