Our hotel is directly situated at the main station and near the city center (10minutes by walk). We have a modern, anyhow homely ambiance. In just a few minutes walking time you will reach the famous pedestrian zone with its many shops and department stores, as well as all cultural institutions like the Royal Residence, the State Opera and the Old and New Pinakothek, where you can view superb art collections. Also you may use the extensive subway and bus systems to reach the many other places of interest like Nymphenburg Palace or the Royal Castle of Herrenchiemsee. For our guests we have 189 elegantly and tastefully furnished rooms, with comfortable baths (containing WC, showers and hairdryers) as well as radio, minibar, cable TV and ISDN telephone and free of charge WLan. Getting there:The Hotel Regent is located just right next to the Central Station. Al Subway, tram and suburban train stops are only a few strides away. Also there is a taxi-stop just in front of the Central Station. BY AIR *** S-Bahn (Local transit trains lines 1 and 8) to Main Railway Station (Hauptbahnhof). Follow the signs with DB on them to reach the main Train platform then follow the exit (North - Nord). The hotel is accross the street, to your right. *** Taxi from outside the terminal, direct to the hotel (any of the waiting taxis in line will be happy to take you to town) BY TRAIN Get off at "Mnchen Hauptbahnhof" (Central Station), go to north exit "Arnulfstrasse" - walk 150 m. to your right. BY CAR Go to the "Mittlerer Ring", follow signs to "Zentrum".

We stayed three nights. The hotel has a great location, was reasonably priced, relatively clean, and the front desk staff were quite helpful. Shower was nice with good pressure, room was quiet - no complaints. But my one complaint was the wifi internet service. We had a very difficult time getting reception in our room and so had to go to the lobby to get it. Apparenlty other guests were having trouble as well because while we were in the lobby they were calling the front desk. The staff seemed surprised so I don't know if this was a fluke or not but beware.
Chose this due to location near main station to surprisingly find we were oly minutes to the tents. Small but adequate singel rooms. Good breakfast
all things are good, room is comfortable, breakfast is delisous and the service is very good, the hotel is close to the train central station and shopping area.
Great location very close to the train station. Hotel was clean and very friendly staff. Would recommend and would stay there agin.
The hotel locations is excellent (2 min walk from the central station) The room is spacious but the AC was non functional. The bathroom was with excellent shower and water temperature. Basic breakfast buffet. They offered free wifi in room internet which is unusual to be free in Europe - a big plus. I would recommend this place if you are staying for a short while or it is not too hot outside.

This is a nice hotel with spacious (double) rooms also with really good price per value ration close to the main railway station in Munich. Breakfast was also quite rich.
Rooms were average for the price paid, the twin room was very small for 2 teenagers. Both rooms had broken shower heads. Furnishings needed reupholstering quite badly. The buffet breakfast and service at the breakfast were very good.
This is definitely not a 4 star hotel. More like an average 3 star. May have been considered 4 star in the 70's or early 80's. Therefore extremely overpriced at 220 euros per night I had to pay. Parts of the rooms are a bit run down. Bathroom door was rotting. I do not no whats this wifi internet for 20 euros !!! per night, most places in Europe have wifi for free (esp. if 4 star). Service and breakfast was good though. Breakfast was very good.
An average hotel but I would have thought 3 stars would be more appropriate. Room very small but breakfast was quite good. Shower did not work very well. Would not stay there again
Excellent older hotel one block from the main railroad station in Munich. The breakfast was superior and inlcuded healthy cereals, yogurts, eggs as well as fruit and muffins, etc. The hotel is a good buy, especially close to the main boulevards and tourist sites all within walking distance.
Some of the furniture in the room are rather old. Location is ideal since it's near the train station, and just about 15min walk to Marienplatz. Breakfast spread is good but it seems that they are quite short handed as the coffee flask in some tables are not topped up regularly.
Overall good expirence. Beds and pillows were not the best, but okay. Inclusive breakfast buffet was very good. I would recommend. 7.5 out of 10.
Nice calm clean hotel, location is perfect to explore munich or stay over before going anywhere else. Station is right there and city center is 5 min walk.

Very dirty rooms. No shower curtain. Just not maintained well. Asked to change rooms but apparently none available! Breakfast is very well laid out and there is a great choice.
This hotel was fantastic value with incredibly helpful staff, nice breakfast and easy location next to the train station.
