Unhelpful, unfriendly staff. Great location though. No free internet access. Good for a few days stay. Currently undergoing renovations - very disturbing. Wouldn't recommend....
not a luxury, not a dump. good location with clean rooms.
Very nice hotel, great location, within walking distance to all major squares, good breakfast.
Excellent location. Small rooms, but adequate for a short stay
Need updated & flooring and curtains to darken the room. Also need a fridge
I got a good price but stayed in a better, newer hotel down the road.
very well located hotel; helpfull staff; small room but nice enough if you do not come to sleep. Good value for money.
excellent location five minutes walk from puerta del sol which is the hub of madrid anst far enough away from the noise of gran via. big enough room with excellent shower. thoroughly recommendable
The hotel was good value for the money. Location is great. Step out the door and there was Gran Via. Close to metero stations. We didn't eat breakfast there, but chose to eat right down the road at a local restaurant, which was nice and much cheaper that hotel breakfast. Staff was good and friendly. No complaints there. If you do book there, avoid room 202 or any rooms near the elevators. We were woken up all the time by noise from people passing, elevators running on both sides and the people in the breakfast room. If it hadn't been for the noise, this would have been a perfect stay in Madrid.
The location is superb and the price was excellent. The room was small but fine for a city stay. The bathroom was OK but a bit tired. Everything was clean. The staff were all sour, rude and very unhelpful - this is not a happy hotel. The breakfast was poor in quality but there was a good selection. Less items of far better quality would be better. There was no fresh fruit and the only juice was orange which was warm and tasteless. To charge for the safe is ridiculous.
It was a very small bedroom and the bathroom facilities were not good. The staff were helpful and it was situated in an ideal place so close to the Gran Via.
Location cannot be beaten even if Gran Via can be dodgy, but you are right in the middle of everything. Staff were polite as well. I would definitely stay in this hotel again.
the bathroom was full of hair from the previous person that stayed there!
The bad in cleanliness is due to the fact our room smelled heavily of smoke and that was quite disturbing. For the rest, is a great pick.
We enjoyed our week at this hotel very much. The room we had was of a good size and had a sunny outlook. The main attribute of the hotel is its very convenient location. Athough the people at reception seemed a little bit unco-operative to begin with, by the end of our stay they were very helpful. We were sorry to leave.
Excellent city centre location close to all the action and nightlife. Keenly priced with very helpful staff. I would recommend it and intend staying there when i return to this great city.
Make sure you get a room on a higher floor (5th floor and above) and preferably with a view of Gran Via. This way you have a spectacular view and it's not too noisy.
This Hotel was very good- it was excellently located just 30 seconds from the Gran Via. Clean, reasonably priced and my only negative comment would be that i was unable to order room service as nobody could speak English.
Good location, and reasonable price compare to other Hotels in central Madrid.
centrally located making ideal for getting around the sites.
