Location great!!! Staff was amazing, they helped up with activities, reservations speak excellent English. Great experience. No complaints at all.
I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Centrally located one block off the Plaza del Sol and within walking distance of most attractions such as the Prado, Plaza Mayor, etc. Room was a good size for a European hotel. Close to subway (one block) and airport express (yellow) bus (~5 blocks). Several panaderias nearby for a quick and inexpensive breakfast if you prefer to avoid the time and cost of a hotel breakfast. Staff was very pleasant.
First trip to Spain, and this hotel was just right! The staff was very friendly and accomodating, and the location was perfect for sightseeing, close to Plaza Mayor and all of the major sights. We walked almost everywhere, and took the metro to get to museums and parks, there is a stop right in front of the hotel. Room was comfortable and clean.
Excellent hotel
The Regina is convenient for all the sites of Madrid. Walk out the front Metro on the left.I will definitely stay again.
Would happily stay at the Regina again. Spacious room. Good breakfast selection.
Looking forward to staying here but very disappointed with the room we were allocated. We are a mature couple who have travelled the world and one of our big dislikes are rooms with frosted glass which obviously hides a poor view - but this was not only a poor view it was very dark - could not even read in the day without having a light on. felt very like a dungeon and not nice to come back and relax from the heat and hustle of the city. The floor into our room was terribly noisy, as they seemed to have put wooden floor panelling down with no soundproofing underneath. Also was not overly impressed with the checking in process as the man was very charmless.
Good location, room too small, no bar fridge, bed very hard, very noisy. Even though the room was non smoking you can still smell others smoking around you
excellent location, friendly staff, good coffee-bar, expensive (15E) breakfast, very comfortable big bed, pre-paid, non refundable price was OK, METRO station literally 10mts, would go again
Good standard and excellent location. Small but very clean and newly renovated room.
Clean rooms, excellent location, nice staff (very late check-in possible). Bathroom was a little small though (only a half size bath).
This hotel is an excellent choice for enjoying the older part of Madrid. It's a couple of minutes walk from the Plaza del Sol and not much further from the Plaza Major and it is 20 yards from the Metro. The hotel is clean and appears to be well maintained. I had a single room with an ample bed, clean linen and a large good bathroom. While not exactly cheap, it's good value for money, especially if you stoke up on the generous breakfast!
My wife and I couldnt fault this hotel. Superb location, very helpful and friendly staff. Everything was perfect!
Good location, and reasonable price compared to other Hotels in central Madrid. Good resturant on site. English spoken.
Good value for price and excellent location. Sheets well-worn and stair carpet frayed but clean. Rooms to the front of the hotel very noisy at night - we changed to a smaller, but still adequate, room at the back of the hotel which was fine. Breakfast at €15 was poor value if not included in room price, but there are plenty of small cafes closeby if you are prepared to have breakfast Spanish style.
Coming out of the Metro to discover the hotel in front of us was a bonus, and as all of the main attractions were equidistant from the hote,l I would say that it met all our expectations in every way
my stay there, even if very brief, was really excellent! will realy be a pleasure to use the same hotel if ever I am back to Madrid.
Very good location for anyone wanting to explore the city. close to the Puerto del sol and a metro station at the front door. Plenty of bars, cafes ect. all around including the hotel restaurant which has a very good menu to suit all tastes. No hesitation in recomending this hotel.
1) location very good: just a few steps to metro station, selvina; 5 minutes walk to puerto de sol - huge plaza with lively street shows, food, shopping places. 2) room is big, with free wifi. 3) centralised air con system.
The Regina Hotel Madrid was an excellent choice for us. The hotel location was perfect and some staff members spoke English. They were efficient, and our paperwork was accurate, which we appreciated because we had made a last minute change. We reserved three rooms and all were large and very clean. Ignore reviews that say negative things about this hotel. Our experience was very positive.
