I travel quite a lot in connection with my job and I am very pleased to say that Regua Douro Hotel is one of the most pleasant hotels I have stayed at. Not because the hotel is so special, but because the staff is FANTASTIC!

A splendidly located hotel, near the railway station and the boat jetty. The Douro valley is truly magnificent (even in winter rain) and excursions by rail or by boat add to the attractiveness of Regua. The best rooms face the river, as does the high quality restaurant on the top floor. JOHN BACH United Kingdom

An excellent hotel with friendly staff and good facilities. Restaurant is excellent, but remember to book a dinner in advance as it gets very busy especially at the weekends
