"The chateau is a lovely building in a pleasant rural setting. However, there really is nothing to do or see in the area. If someone only wants rest and relaxation, it may be fine. The location proved too remote for my daughter and I, as we were using public transit. From the website, it seemed that the chateau was close to Béziers. In fact, it is close only to Murviel les Béziers, which is quite distant from Béziers. Twice we had to take a 38 Euro cab ride from the train station in Béziers. This offset the value in the reduced room rate we had received. Our option was to walk to Murviel to catch an infrequent bus (almost 4 Euro per person one way).
The breakfast was fine but expensive if not included in the room rate. There is no elevator; carrying suitcases up to the second or third floor can be a challenge. The service was pleasant, and we enjoyed our spacious room and modern bathroom. The birds were loud in the early morning, so it is impossible to sleep in! " - Anonymous
