Very good hotel well located - a 5 minute walk to Harrods & the Knightsbridge shops, 2 minutes to the Undergound tube station & local restaurants and opposite the Victoria & Albert museum which is a MUST visit. Our room was smaller than expected based on the misleading website, resulting in change to a higher level & therefore greater cost but very worthwhile because of the location. The staff are not very co-operative, we believe due to their lack of training & verbal skills(many can't speak English), but this is common throughout London. We have been in London many times and will definitely stay here again.
The Rembrandt hotel is conveniently located directly opposite the Victoria & Albert museum, within close proximity of shops, pubs, restaurants and South Kensington tube station. There are also bus stops outside if you want to take a scenic tour of the Capital. The staff were friendly and upgraded me to an Executive room. The room was an adequate size, and the bathroom was excellent - featuring a whirlpool bath and shower. It also had air conditioning. The breakfast was very comprehensive, and worth the extra money. The only minor quibble was that the rather slow, antiquated lifts were out of order on at least two occasions I was there (and I only stayed one night). At one stage, we almost got trapped in one. We had to use the very small luggage lift. But these things happen, and it didn't spoil our stay. There are probably slightly cheaper hotels around, but if you want everything on your doorstep in this part of London, it is an option you should definitely consider.
Pretty dull dinner carvery restaurant. Food didn't taste of anything. Shame as the rest of the hotel and its location is really good.
Iron & pants press were not working. Selection of TV channels was very poor. On the plus side, the hotel did give an upgrade at check-in to a better room, which featured a jacuzzi bath.
We really enjoyed our short stay and we will certainly use this hotel again.Room service was excellent and housekeeping staff patient with our need to use the room during the day. Breakfast was substantial with lots of willing staff. Our only complaint was that the receptionist forgot to book our early morning taxi which could have cauded us problems but night staff were helpful.
Lovely hotel. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms spotlessly clean. Food nice. Excellent location.
The lobby and public rooms are very nice. Breakfast was very nice. The hotel is located in a lovely neighborhood, very convenient.
Excellent value for a central location London hotel. Friendly staff, and good rooms.
Very good hotel with friendly staff. Suberb breakfast. Very good location.
Excellent hotel with very friendly staff. One of those places that seem calm and efficient.
Good Hotel reasonably priced if booked on the internet. Great location.
Excellent hotel. Nice location and facilities was excellent.
We have stayed at the Rembrandt at least five times. Every time is an excellent experience, the staff are friendly, the atmosphere is superb, the dining is fine and the lounge for an evening aperitif has no equal for coziness by the fireplace, or a light meal after the theatre. Enjoy!! We do.
I found the Front House Staff and the Concierge to be pleasant and helpful and the Restaurant staff to prompt and accommodating. I hope to return on my next visait to London. The dinner Buffet is attactive and reasonable. The entrance to the Hotel is shrouded and hidden among the trees perhaps a more attractive facade would match your excellent service.
I will definitely use the Rembrandt again. Location perfect for my purposes. Staff friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, the room was comfortable, the bathroom excellent.
