The hotel is situated at quite a good location, however, this hotel has been around for quite long, it is rather old. The bed is not exactly very comfortable, it will be a value for money, if the price of the hotel can go slightly lower, if not they should provide some sort of complimentary breakfast to entice the people to stay in the hotel more frequently, the plus point of rendezvous merry hotel is their spa, xiao nan guo which i like very much.
Have stayed at this hotel several times. Service is good and English spoken by staff. Breakfast has a varied selection, mostly western food. Be sure to book all inclusive, as it can be rather pricey. Location is a bit out of the way. About 10minute walk to Jing`an temple and Nanjing Road. on a good day. Rest of shanghai is by Taxi, fairly inexpensive. Take bus #2 from apo to City air terminal, 22RMB, and taxi to hotel 15RMB
Superior Room is 23sq in average, with City View & Residence View. Room was newly refurbished by March 2004, bright and comfort with high-speed boardband access, in-room fax machine facilities. It's truly designed for both business and leisure purposed travelers.
Room in 33 square meters with big working space. Room was equiped with high-speed broadband internet access and private fax facilities. Seperate shower cubicle to bath tub.

I've always stayed here when travelling to SH for pleasure, friendly staff, easy to move around sh, close to starbucks , Tesco supermarket & a few restaurants..breakfast of course can be improved..
A god location, close to metro. Breakfast was pretty good given the price. Have already recommended to a friend and we will stay again if there are similar offers.
This is a convenient and nice hotel in the heart of the city.Well worth the money.
It was a relatively good hotel in terms of cleanliness, servicing, and breakfast food. What I especially liked was the flexibility of the hotel, for eg I got free broadband access in the room but didn't have my laptop with me - the Business Centre agreed to let me use their Business Centre Internet access for free, etc. Location is not the best though - no nearby shops or restaurants to walk to. But if you're driving, then it's ok. Language wise, the staff can converse in simple English or will have someone who can understand English. Food in the restaurant's ala carte menu is not fantastic though. Am overall rather pleased with this hotel.
