"Have stayed here before. Perfect for families (we have 2 kids 10 + 12yrs), looks lovely since re-furbishment, but few disappointing changes - cooking facilities changed from regular oven + microwave to just convection microwave; sofas are hard & square & bloody impossible to relax on; flat-screen TVs are great but fixed in awkward position in the middle of room; main pool used to be heated but not now - was absolutely FREEZING in July even though weather was warm (28c). Wish the bar/restaurant by pool had lunch, snacks & drinks all day, not just evening. Overall good though & most likely to stay here again in future & have recommended to friends." - Anonymous
"we have stayed at this resort previously and really enjoyed it. everything was great from check in to check out and it is a lovely resort. it is about 3kms from the main street so with young children and no car you are reliant on the local bus which can become expensive. my only other comment is that the pools are very cold. "Stayed in a 3 bedroom villa with our 3 kids. Kids loved the pools (altho' a bit on the cool side in the middle of 'winter') and the restaurant did really lovely food including a kids menu that didn't include nuggets and chips as the star item (several notches above). Restaurant overlooks one of the pools and has space for the kids to play so made for a very easy evening out. Can walk to the quiet end of 4 mile beach but probably a bit far for young kids to make it there and back. Would stay again for family trip." - Denise Collins
"Some concerns a bout the amount of people who were clearly living permanently or semi permanently on the site however no problems encountered although old cars/motorbikes/furniture etc outside of apartments were abundant. Rendezvous Reef Resort is a family friendly resort located just 2 minutes from Port Douglas village and the famous Four Mile Beach.
The newly refurbished Rendezvous Reef Resort is a village of villas, each of our two storey villas offers an enormous 110 square metres of living space – which means at Rendezvous Reef Resort, you get a house for the price of a room.
Choose from our affordable one, two and three bedroom self-contained villas, each with balcony or patio, kitchen, separate laundry with washing machine and clothes dryer, high speed broadband internet access, two TVs and DVD player.
The resort is set on 15 acres of lush tropical gardens offering plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the facilities which include 3 lagoon-style pools, a 25m lap pool, a children’s pool, tennis courts, pitch and putt golf and BBQ area. In addition to these complimentary facilities we have a hire shop with playstation and games, bikes, books, DVDs, board games and pool toys so the kids will never be bored.
While the kids are splashing around in the pool sit back and relax at Swish Restaurant and Bar, situated poolside in the main building. Swish is open for breakfast and dinner 7 days offering a relaxed and chilled vibe with a great atmosphere for alfresco dining.

Getting to Rendezvous Reef Resort from Cairns and its Domestic and International Airports is by limousines, coaches or hire cars.
