"We have stayed at this resort four times and our children never get tired of it. All four pools are great! It is a reasonable distance from town however we enjoy the walk and hire bikes frequently. The gym was disappointing this time as some of the equipment needs to be repaired and updated." - Anonymous
"To be fair to the resort they had just seen the end of 50 odd days of rain.The grounds were slightly unkept but to be expected. Main thing they need to sort out is alcohol licence for restaurant etc.Rooms very spacious but slightly outdated.Transport into Port Douglas excellent bus runs every 20 mins or so" - Anonymous

"Good value - last minute booking $119 per night for 2 br unit. Great place for kids - 4 pools + tennis courts kept 14 & 11 y old happy. Pity spa in large pool 'cave' not working - otherwise really good. Unit spacious & good sized kitchen. Appreciated the cycle tracks all the way from highway to Port Douglas. Glad we took own bikes - would have cost $80 per day for 4 otherwise. Staff very friendly & accommodating. Will recommend this resort & may well go back " - Janet Walder

Rendezvous Reef Resort has commenced an 8-million dollar refurbishment. This process will see the Resort restored to its former glory but some impact will be felt during this time. The first part of the refurbishment programme is the full renovation of reception and the Restaurant and Bar. This will necessitate the closure of the current facility with completion of reception and the opening of the new Swish Restaurant and Bar expected in Early July. During this time reception will be located in villa number 111 and charge back facilities have been organised next door at Mantra Treetops Resort for food and beverage requirements. The refurbishment of the entire Resort is due for completion by September 2008. Throughout the process the redevelopment has been planned in such a way that the impact felt by guests will be kept to a minimum. Getting to Rendezvous Reef Resort from Cairns and its Domestic and International Airports is by limousines, coaches or hire cars. The drive from Cairns to Port Douglas is just under an hour's north via Captain Cook Highway, one of the most picturesque coastal roads that you are ever likely to see - from the crystal blue of the Coral Sea to the green of the tropical rainforests. This is the only place on Earth where two world heritage listed jewels exist: the Great Barrier Reef and the rainforest of the Daintree and Cape Tribulation. |
