Easy walk from the Aliliguna boat stop from the airport. Economical but well reviewed restaurants close by. Quite a walk but interesting/pictureque to the main tourist areas but we liked the local atmosphere so OK with that. Comprehensive breakfast and cosy Bar at each end of the day.
The Residenza Cannaregio is very fresh and spotlessly clean. We had a canal view room and it was roomy and well-equipped. Staff were pleasant with good language skills. Breakfast was very good but no other meals were available. We found the location excellent but as we are Venice veterans we had no need to be near St. Mark's Square or any of the other main attractions. Having said that, these features are still within walking distance of the hotel and the waterbus system is very efficient. Overall we were very happy and would gladly return to Residenza Cannaregio.

Other than the poor breakfast selection (1 ham type -1 cheese type), this hotel was good (i.e. 4/5) in every aspect.
Great place to stay in Venice. Beautiful courtyard and good food at the restaurant. Found prices comparable to those in other restaurants in Venice. Slightly out of the tourist sites but thought of it as an advantage, as it is a haven to go back to at the end of a busy day. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Nice to stay here for vacation, but a little bit difficout for who go to venice first time to find it.
Have just returned from 3 excellent days at the Rezidenza Cannaregio. Can't recommend highly enough. Room we had was spacious and spotless. Area is nice just a very short walk to local restaurants and bars and the local vaporetto stop that takes you directly down the Grand Canal at Ponte Delle Guglie is only literally 5 minutes walk. Breakfast is served in the hotel restaurant and is superb both for choice and quality. Worth every one of it's 4 stars.
location is good provided you want to stay in a quiet residential area away from busy tourist spots but still within reasonable walking distance.
Overall, a wonderful hotel in a very quiet, peaceful back-water of Venice - far away from the tourist-crowds. If you want noisy restaurants and clubs, it's not for you! But if you want a tranquil oasis, then I'd definitely recommend it. The staff were superb - friendly, polite and accommodating. And the room itself was modern and trendy, but with numerous period features (exposed beams, high ceiling, etc). One minor quibble - the fruit at breakfast was all canned - no fresh fruit salad. But I'm just being picky! Overall, superb!!
The restraunt staff was rather unfriendly. This dampened the otherwise good impression on the hotel considerably.
Nice hotel that befits it's 4* rating. A bit far from the main sights near san marco. Probably a 40-50min walk. OK if it's just for 1-2 days, but otherwise lot's of walking involved. Price is OK by Venice standards. Venice hotels are expensive. Nice selection of reasonably priced restaurants nearby.
This is a wonderful hotel to stay in Venice. You may find it a bit hard to get there the first time if you do not use a waterbus. We did get lost when we tried to walk there. However, it is really easy to locate the hotel when you get off at S.Alvise station from water bus 42/52. Regardless the location, it is within 5min walking to the south that you can find a street with cheap restaurants and shops (rare in a city like Venice). The hotel's own facilities are newly renovated and only word I can give them is fantastic! The breakfast is American style and is very rich of choices too.
This hotel is superb. We have no complaints whatsoever and they couldn't have been more helpful. It was so clean and tidy with a beautiful courtyard garden. The rooms are very modern and very spacious. As soon as we checked in the Conceriege gave us a 10 minute run-down on the whole of Venice and where to go. We stayed 2 nights and ate at two fabulous restaurants: La Fondamenta on Fondementa della Misericordia in Cannaregio and Alguibagio at Fondamenta Nove in Cannaregio. Both are slightly more upmarket restaurants than the normal Trattoria and we paid 50euros per head including wine! Food and service at both restaurants were excellent.
this is a great hotel . i would definitely reccomend it even though it is quite a way from the San Marco square. It is clean and modern with a lovely courtyard. We had a loft bedroom which had a comfortable bed and modern decorations.
Excellent Room. Ideal for a family with kids since the room size is good. The staff is very friendly. However the St. Mark's Square which is a major draw card for visitors is a good 20-25 min walk.
A very nice hotel, very modern but with nice preservation of the original structure and a nice courtyard. Great bar, good breakfast, but dinner in the restaurant was expensive and not a good value. The restaurant lacks any ambience as well. A better place was just 200 meters from the hotel, though. I would stay here again. Very quiet location, convenient to a Vaporetto stop, near the Ghetto. Very nice.
A good value, quiet, clean hotel with friendly and most helpful staff. Like much of Venice, difficult to locate at first. Whilst recommended, a couple of caveats: 1. As we were there for 4 days, we had time to spare and could afford 40 mins to get to or from San Marco. However for one on a tight schedule, a hotel closer to St Marco might be preferable. 2. Whilst it might have just been bad luck on our part, the vapereto service from the closest stop was infrequent at best and a consequence, we ended up walking everywhere, even when it rained!!
Very very very nice hotel. I have to mention that room (suite) was spacius and cleen. Also the breakfast was one of the best ever eat in a 4* hotel. A bit far from the crowds but in my opinion it's an advantage. Easy access to vaporettos stops, one near the hotel and the St Marcuola in Great Cannal. Very close to Nova Srada where is the main market, just cross 2 bridges and walk for 10 minutes. Don't miss tratoria "Vezuvio", very good food, pasta and pizza in resonable price. And a tip, take very confortable shoes, you to have to walk a lot to see Venice
Nice hotel. Little bit far from city best places.
Fantacstic!
