The Residenza del Duca is a small hotel located in an ancient noble palace of the XVI century built on a Medieval construction and now restored with a skilful work.it is reached by 70 steps from the road. All the rooms have been tiled with majolica from Vietri, whose original drawings have been studied and reproduced by a local pottery painter. The rooms are furnished with well-finished pieces accurately chosen according to the style of the palace. The XVII century chestnut wood beaming ceiling and XVIII century cloister and vaulted ceiling have been revived thanks to the accurate restoration work made by a craftsman of our Costiera. pls, note:air conditioning is on request and on payment.

Getting there:Coming from the north, You follow the indications for the A3 motorway towards Salerno. Exit at Vietri sul Mare. Here You follow the indications for the Amalfitan Coast road SS163. Coming from the south, You take the motorway Reggio-Salerno, You leave it in Salerno and follow the indications for the SS163 to Amalfi. On arriving in Amalfi You turn towards the main quare (Piazza Duomo) and 100 metres You will find the hotel

Fantastic location a minutes walk from port/bus/town centre/supermarket, yet so quiet (even church bells barely audible for 30seconds or so at 7:30am;probably won't hear them unless you're already awake). The hotel staff were very friendly & helpful. Especially liked the fancy shower !. Only minuses:80 steps from street to reception with no elevator (an issue for less agile guests, or those with luggage), no internet (although cafe located nearby).Breakfast was a little on the light side for a Continental
has one of the best washroom facilites ever with even a back massager. bear in mind there are no lift facilites along the amalfi coast and the hotel is several flights up.

lovely self-catering apartment in the historical centre of Amalfi,only far 50mt.from the Cathedral and 100mt.from the sea,bus-station and the habour. It consists in n.2 doubles or twin,dinning/sitting room,bathroom with shower and facilities,full equipped kitchen,60mq of equipped terrace with a superb view of the coast-line and the Cathedral. The apartment is full equipped with bedlinens and towels and a touch away from supermarkets,bars,restaurants It is reached from the main-road by about 100 steps but the view is so glorius that the steps could be not a problem. The lagguages service is not included in the price. We pray our guest to inform us if they need it. The price is euro 5 per lagguage.
Great place, friendly people, would love to go back! The strairs are a bit of a problem if you don't travel light...
