We went on a Thanksgiving week so they had great activities for kids: gingerbread houses, elves giving away candies, santa/mrs claus visited, hot chocolate/cider drinks, making smores- and of course they had nice area for family sledding. Food was good.
Stayed in a room with a view that looked out over the golf course and out to the northwest side of the valley, The room was very nice and included a fireplace which was a nice touch. The room was very comfortable and clean and the bathroom was larger than expected. Great weekend get-away!
Very nice hotel with nicely furnished rooms. Pool, hot tubs and fire pits were great
Just loved this resort. Went for a wedding, the ceremony was beautiful, the reception and food were fantastic. Service was great. Cannot say enough good things about our stay, I will be back!
When I got there, they couldn't find my Orbitz reservation (they said they've been having problems getting reservations from Orbitz) and I hadn't printed it out so I had to dig out my iPad and try to get connected to their wifi ("free") which only worked once I moved away from the reception area. If you get a valley view room (vs. forest view), make sure you're getting a view of the pool area. Otherwise you could get stuck with a view of the roof of the lobby. Sure, if you look out in the distance, there's a view of the valley, but there's also a beautiful pool which would have been nicer to see than the adjoining roof! I got charged for valet parking ($20/day), which I didn't use, but I did use their bike storage ($5/day/bike) which wasn't on my bill when I checked out. When I pointed this out, and because of my experience w/ the view, they removed the valet and didn't charge me for bike storage, so that was nice. (Last year, we stored our bikes in the room no problem but this time they forced us to use their storage.) Also, don't forget there's an $18 resort fee. That's how you end up with "free" wifi! Once I connected my iPad, I was good, but my boyfriend never managed to be able to connect his Macbook Air.
Perfect for a weekend getaway. We did fly fishing and sailing. The rooms are huge and comfortable. We prefer to stay at squaw creek to stay away from the casinos south.
Resort at Squaw Creek is in a beautiful location. The hotel grounds are gorgeous. Lots of spaces to enjoy the surrounding nature. We took the nature trail to the Village at Squaw Valley. From there, we took the cable car to the top of the mountain for hiking and lunch. The view was wonderful! Upon arrival we were upgraded to a room with a view of the valley. We looked out our window to see the pools, golf course, mountains and the village. We would definitely come back again!
Amazing location, tons of stuff to do. Just relax.
We went to the resort at Squaw Creek for our 10yr anniv. When we arrived the front desk asked the reason for our visit, and when we told him he upgraded us to a suite for free. We had a great time! It is a beautiful place, very clean. The only complaint I have is all the resort taxes that are added to everything.
A great hotel if you want a nice place to stay in and around Lake Tahoe.
very nice resort a bit quiet durng the week but lots of fun on the weekend would stay here again
Best experience so far. The location was perfect, very close to Kings Beach and Tahoe City. The pool was wonderful for the kids and the room had a great view.
Great location on the hill. Fine rooms and common areas. Should open the lift at 8:30 in stead of 9 am
