"The Rex is in the heart of HCMC and is a great place to stay for the first time visitor. The rooms in the older section of the hotel give a feeling of the colonial atmosphere with modern facilities. The staff could not be more friendly. We particularly enjoyed the roof top restaurant and bar which provides both excellent food and good entertainment. The same can be said of both Chinese restaurants in the hotel. There is no doubt we would stay there again and will recommend it to our friends." - Larry Gallagher
"The newly refurbished Rex Hotel is clean & comfortable. We booked a junior suite, which altho' was in the old wing, has been spruced up to look more modern. Great beds. Huge, huge room! We had a look at both the twin-bed option and the king-bed option. The one with the king bed looked tired and old so weobviously went for the twin beds. Location is fantastic - within walking distance to most of the attractions there; 5 min walk to DOng Khoi St and across the road from 3 shopping centres. Receptionists speak good English. "I was given an internal room with no windows in the old part of the hotel for a 5 day stay - not acceptable. The place is a rabbit warren of corridors and stairs and the old part is rather tired to say the least. However very centrally located and staff certainly tried hard." - Anonymous
