What a value! Safe convenient location near Termini. Friendly and helpful staff. One of the staff actually sits down with you and orientates you to the city and the hotel. Free internet to check flights and travel sites.Great breakfast with homemade tarts etc. Several terraces to enjoy a few minutes of peace and reflection with your own bottle of wine. We would stay there again.
breakfast was great, the front desk was friendly & helpful. This hotel needs management, After running around Rome all day we come back to the room to find no hot water we call the front desk they tell us "WE KNOW" sorry! we're working on it. We decided to go to dinner, we come back 3 hours later still no hot water, we go to bed, next morning still no hot water. We are then told we can use the shower in the health club in the basement which we never evan knew was there At this point things started to get ugly! I felt really bad for the front desk people for some reason they were stuck answering all the guest anger and questions. Finally later (really day 2) a new hot water boiler was installed YEAH! not so fast! upon check out got hit with a charge for coffee & tea left in the room Which we assumed was complimentry. We refused to pay no water for almost 2 days and you want to charge for coffee in the room? This all could & should have been handled much differently, wheres the manager OUT OF TOWN.
The women staff very nice and accomodating. The breakfast was very good. Many varied items but don't look for look for scrambled or eggs over easy in Italy. The big downer was we didn't have hot water for almost 3 days and at check out the night manager would not compensate us for the inconvenience. He just shrugged his shoulders. There was a shower with hot water available in the basement gym locker room.
centrally located, clean , adequare aminities spoiled by an extra charge of Eur. 1.30 to use a hot water kettle to make a cup of coffee inyour room.
The service in this hotel was the best we had received in our 12 days in Italy. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They even went to the trouble to help us confirm our next hotel in Sorrento. We received a photocopy of front page of our local newspaper back from Brisbane every morning. Bathroom was huge and clean. Overall our stay was good. It is not the closest hotel to the Terminii but close enough for us and if they had steamed clean their carpet a bit more frequent, the hotel would have been perfect.
We stayed for 3 nights, and enjoyed it very much, including the breakfast which was very good.
Friendly , helpful staff. Near train station - walkable if you have a map. Comfortable rooms with more than average space. Reasonable value for Rome.
Though we reserved a non-smoking room and the room we stayed was truly indicated as a non-smoking room, it had a strong smell of tobacco smoke. Hotel should be checked. The room and furniture look old. Bath towels were washed, but some of them were tatty.
Very friendly and efficient service. Excellent breakfast buffet. A little too far away from the railway station for walking with heavy luggage.
Well located. Only a short walk to central transportation. Staff are friendly, helpful and make you feel welcomed. If you are good at walking you can walk to many major attractions from this hotel. Rooms are clean and of a good size, based on Rome standards. Good breakfast.
Only stayed 1 night and it's very close to the Termini station. Room was great. Would consider staying there again next time in Rome.
Rex Hotel has around 55 rooms and only 8-10 tables in the breakfast room. It's a chance if you find a free table in the morning. Otherwise, you can take the breakfast in the room (only french breakfast) but for this service you should pay 3 euro. The alternative is to wait for a free table. Anyway, the breakfast is very poor for a 4 stars hotel
The room we got was huge and very comfortable. While just a little dated this hotel was a good find in a good location. Great breakfast and a comfortable bed.
Excellent hotel in a convenient location, would love to stay again.
We stayed at the hotle for three nights. The staff were excellent, very helpful in every way. The first night was very uncomfortable because the air conditioning was not yet turned on and we could only cool off our room by opening our windows to a very noisy street. We were moved to the back for the remaining nights at our request. Ask for a room away from the street. And don't ask if a hotel in southern Europe has air conditioning - ask if it is working AND turned on. The location was very central near Termini station and within walking distance of the Coliseum and Forum.
This hotel was in a very good location, close to two train stations. There was breakfast included with our package and it was very substancial. The room was very clean and had an in room safe and a very clean shower. The room was quite large. The staff were very helpful. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay again.
Great location - close to train station and to city's centre attractions and tour atrting points. Breakfast was superb consisting of a great choice of cereal, yoghurt, ham, cheese, sausages, eggs, bacon, pastries and wide range of beverages. Would definitely stay here again.
We really enjoyed our stay. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.
Hotel very well located in the center of Rome with very friendly and helpful staff. Some rooms would require some refreshing but overall a very good value for money.
Very helpful and pleasant staff. Clean, modern facilities. Easy walk to Termini train station.
