Ideal place good for trams/trains stayed in Brussels over 50 times first time ever in this hotel and best value place I haver ever stayed in this city, will stay here in the future.
Family-owned hotel, owners are very friendly. Good price and relatively good location on public transport (Gare du Nord, airport). However the hotel itself and the equipment is rather old, windows not insulated so if you face the ring (street side) it's extremely noisy in the morning, to the point that even a city person would be waked up. Best part of the stay: exceptionally good breakfast really worth the money.

You pay for a cheap hotel and you get a cheap hotel but not so bad as the other comments I read before going. I went there for 1 day and I was in a room with very nice views to the Boulevard August Reyers and the hotel is 6-7min walking from the airport bus shuttle stop Diamant. Breakfast is included and it is a good one, you have everything you need and the products are branded, I enjoyed it a lot, I didn't expect all this breakfast for a such a cheap hotel. I repeat, you pay for a cheap hotel, you get a cheap hotel but you have nothing to regret. The pillows are soft, the water is hot, the room is clean, you have TV, 10€/day Internet and the breakfast is good. If I have to go to Brussels again and I need a cheap hotel, I know where to go. The only thing I'd like them to improve is the lift(elevator) which is non-door type and the inside carpet was quite dirty. But hey! as long as the carpet of my room is clean, I'm happy.
The Reyers will not be to everyones taste due to it's location, you have to go to Montgomery and then get a tram/metro three/four stops. I'm sure that many people would not like the area although it is perfectly safe. The hotel definitely needs major refurbishment. I booked it when everything else was full and although the room was basic and a fire escape runs along the back of the rooms (could be security issues), everything was fine. I worked in the room then went out to a good local restaurant, so it was ok for me. I have seen some really bad reviews for this hotel and whilst it wouldn't be top of my list, it isn't as bad as the reviews suggest and the staff where very helpful. This was fine for me for one night when I had meetings the following day. This is not a 'holiday' hotel or a romantic hotel.
The place is run by a family, which does everything to make staying in the hotel pleasant and comfortable. We have very good memory and feeling after staying in the hotel.
The hotel was surprisingly good. Inner room is not noisy. The service was friendly.
When first approaching and entering, I thought to myself, this is a mistake. I got a very cheap rate and I could see why. The awning at the front is torn and battered, the lobby is uninviting, there are papers piled high and the common areas are generally quite shabby with little or no carpets. The reception staff weren't rude but this isn't a Hilton! Having said all that, the room itself wasn't too bad... Yes, the furniture is cheap (like MFI, for the Brits), the mirror was propped on the sink, and the cold tile floor was "gritty" but the shower worked well with plenty of hot water, I had a shared, concrete "balcony" which runs across the rear of the hotel to the fire escape (maybe a security risk but door and window were secure double-glazing) and there was space. It looked like new tiling too. The bed covers were stained but the mattress and sheets were OK. The breakfast was pretty good (and included in the rate). Don't take your wife for a romantic weekend.
Clean and basic. It would have been nice to have a kettle in the room and a hair dryer. Hotel is located quite a distance from the centre of Brussels (15 Euros by taxi). But the manager and his wife were very helpful and obliging.
Friendly staff. Easy access to transport. Good local restaurants.
