Located in full heart of the médina of Fès, RIAD SARA is one of the most beautiful residences in Fès. Accessible by car, founded at the 17th century and restored recently with passion and talent. Of a typically Moroccan architecture. It is a large house which shows Moroccan traditions and a beautiful elegance; its continuations are roomy and comfortable, its pleasant terrace and its great particularly remarkable kitchen. The attentive reception and the refined and convivial atmosphere offer you the insurance of the welcome within this peaceful framework. It is a stopover of relaxation and wellbeing within famous Médina of the imperial city. RIAD SARA is an extraordinary residence where the zellige, wood and the plaster engrave, combine to give to the house a fairy-like charm. It was renovated in 2004. With its surface of 300m ², it constitutes without question an excellent place of relaxation, located at Batha (Derb El Gabbas), very close to the historic sites of the imperial city

Riad Sara Hotel Fez Guest Reviews

4.2 out of 5

I can really recommend Riad Sara Hotel Fez. We stayed for three night here with our family of five. The hotel is very authentic with large rooms and huge bathrooms (but rather basic). We had only breakfast at the Riad, which was OK. I can't judge the restaurant. The location at the entrance of the medina is ideal to discover Fez. .

Nice and well restored building, but don´t expect a 4 star deluxe room. Beautiful roof terasse, but not easy to find. Lack of privacy due to all rooms having windows to the inside garden.

Riad Sara is a very nice place to stay that allows to reach the most important attractions in few minutes. It is comfortable and clean. Booking with this website is cheaper than booking directly with the riad.

Traditional riad very close to Medina's attractions and very quiet.

This is a beautiful riad and I would recommend it to anyone, without hesitation. We did, however, have a real problem with a strong smell of drains in our bathroom, which we reported twice, with some temporary action being taken, but we were of the opinion that this was more of a fundamental problem, due to the ancient drains in the city, which could be difficult to rectify permanently---------regrettably, it did take the "gloss "off our stay.

Price for the room n food on the high side but the value was good. Beautiful rooms indeed. Very near to the medina/old city.

Riad Sara is lovely. It has big rooms with seperate bathrooms and is in a good location. I would recommend people to stay here for the value. The only downside was that we didn't have any hot water on one evening (we were rushing, so didn't raise it with them). Breakfast is served every morning and alternates with the different types of Moroccan bread plus an egg. The staff are great and are willing to help with anything. French is something you should brush up on as there is only one or two English speaking staff members. We organised all of our tours through the riad because the tourist office was closed when we went there (Sunday) - the tour guide for the Medina was ordinary...didn't explain many things at all. I would advise going through the tourist office for this one (we weren't the only guests to think this). The day tour of the Middle Atlas was great and our guide was amusing - he ended taking us to the airport for our return flight the next day. Definately worth a visit.

We had a really wonderful stay at Riad Sara. Staff were helpful and friendly and did everything to ensure our week there was the best. We ate there some evenings and the food was great and well priced. Riad Sara has the most amazing traditional decor and is ideally situated just at the entrance to the Medina and near a Petit taxi stop. We would recommend Riad Sara to all our friends. If you cant do stairs ask for a ground floor bedroom as stairs to second floor are a bit steep.

Beautiful hotel. Excellent location. Breakfast is simple but ample. Excellent food if you decide you don't want to eat in the Medina. (dinner, not inclided in the price of hotel) Friendly, helpful staff. A little French will go a long way, but isn't necessary. I would most definately stay here again!

The hotel was half the price if you went without a booking. The food was very much 3 star but there was a good service from hotel staff.

17th century Riad and one of the few that is Moroccan owned. This hotel is down a dark alley but the friendly and helpful staff more than make up for it. Dont take the top floor rooms if you are not fit as stairs are very narrow and steep. Food is excellent and staff are very helpful. Stay here if you want authentic feel of old Moroccan charm.
