Cost effective as we did not have to use river taxis & boats. Very quiet considering we were at teh tourist hub. Excellent breakfast included.
Oustanding location, easy to locate and very nice and conforting. Will recomend to my friends...
Beautiful hotel, staff was very helpful the breakfast buffet was very good.
This hotel is located so central that it does not get any better. Highlights are all in walking distance. The hotel room was small but offered everything we needed. The breakfast was more than sufficient. The Staff was formal.
Everything next to Rialto bridge is overpriced but it was really nice being right on the grand canal. We didn't eat at any of the restaurants right there because we heard that the food wasn't good and the Italians were actually embarrassed by it-- and way overpriced. We wandered our way into Venice just a couple streets back to get excellent food. Staff was very helpful, you could purchase internet time. Good breakfast buffet and a couple outdoor tables. Very comfortable room with safe, mini bar, window looking right out on Grand Canal and boat stop. There are no alarm clocks or clocks in ANY hotel room in Italy, they don't cut the pizza, all of the beds are actually two twin beds pressed together (crack in the middle), and you shouldn't bring anything you can't pick up and carry in Venice since it's not handicap accessible. We brought a hiking backpack which was invaluable and whenever we saw people lugging their suitcases up and down the many stairs throughout Venice, we were so relieved that everything we needed was on our backs! I highly recommend the Rick Steve's ITALY book. Rialto Hotel was in a perfect homebase location, buzzing with activity.
Excelent location but rooms at this price in annex which is a bit tatty and room air conditioning not working properly
Ideal position for exploring Venice on foot. While we enjoyed our stay I would not recommend this one for people with mobility problems as there are a lot of stairs and limited accessability by lift.
Fantatsic location and helpful staff
A good Hotel for the price, in a great location. The room was a little small for three of us but was OK. Breakfast was good and the staff very helpful.
Front desk staff very helpful
The Rialto was well situated. Though room was small it was adequate for our needs. Was a great base as was easy to find and easy to get back to after a day of exploring. Breakfast was more than enough, service was great. Concierge was very helpful and spoke reasonable English which made things so much easier. Would stay there again.
What a wonderful hotel! Right on the Grand Canal and the room was gorgeous. I would stay here again in a minute. Thanks
We found the staff at this hotel to be extremely professional, helpful and pleasant. Our room was as requested, and was kept very clean. We enjoyed our stay there very much, and would not hesitate to stay there if visiting Venice again.
Size of the room was good, no tea and coffee making facilties in room. Sheets and towels changed every day. Lift only goes to floors one or 2 and there are levels in between so had to take lift to floor 1 and walk up 2 flights of stairs. Not good for disabled. Breakfast was very limited, if you didnt like rolls with salami, ham or cheese, or stale croissants then you had little choice. Anything like scrambled eggs, or toast, or bacon etc you had pay extra for. Staff were friendly enough but was hard getting any attention or feeling like we were a guest. The walls are covered in a material in the bedrooms....a lovely setting for mozzies!!! Take your plug ins and spray. We went in March and they still got us!!.
If you don't like stairs or have problems walking inform them first. We were on the 3rd floor but the lift only went to the first, then it was down corridors, upstairs, round corners - not recomanded if like me you had problems climbing the stairs. But I couldn't fault the staff they were very friendly and helpful
We had arrived early morning around 9a.m and while some rooms were ready it was only a matter of minutes till the others were cleaned and ready. The location is so convient for the water bus and everything in Venice. There was no view from the room but on this occasion it did not matter. Would definitely stay there again
2nd stay here and one room would not lock the door so eventually i swapped rooms and neither room was as nice as last stay so it appears it is hit and miss. In a great location next to rialto bridge and close to everything else, breakfast was standard italian
Great.Great.GREAT location, the water "bus" stop is infront of the hotel...on our next visit to Venice it will be the Rialto Hotel.
We found the hotel staff to be very helpful. The breakfast was not as nice as we expected. The hotel location was great, as we came out of the hotel the waterbus station was just out side. We would recomend it to any one.
Lovely hotel with helpful, multi-lingual staff. Perfect location.
