Getting there:Directions from Dublin Airport Follow the signs for the M50 motorway heading southbound. From the M50 take the M7, driving in the direction of Waterford, Limerick. Take the N9 in the direction of Carlow, Kilkenny, and Waterford. At Paulstown take the N10, which takes you straight into Kilkenny. Approximate driving time from Dublin airport is one hour and 20 minutes. Directions from Cork Airport Take the R616 or N8 towards Fermoy, follow the N8 to Mitchelstown. From Mitchelstown take the N8 to Cahir, the N24 from Cahir to Clonmel. In Clonmel follow the N76 to Callan and onwards to Kilkenny. Approximate driving time from Cork Airport is two hours. On Arrival in Kilkenny Take the signs for the City Centre. Use the Castle as a landmark, the hotel is directly across the river from the Castle. McCourts Bar is to the front on the main street (John Street). Two archways lead into the car park, this is the main and only entrance.

This is a lovely hotel in an excellent location, the staff were very friendly and efficient and provided an excellent service. The food was top class. I was visiting with my elderly mother and sister and we all had a wonderful time. I cannot speak highly enough of this hotel.
Staff were very concerned that we would be disturbed by the noise from a wedding and suggested that they move us to a quieter area which was appreciated
We had a lovely room overlooking the river, and enjoyed our stay. The rooms are not air-conditioned, and riverside rooms have to keep the windows closed to avoid winged visitors! A fan was provided, but at this standard of hotel, I would expect air-conditioning.
fabulous welcome at reception, lovely polite bar staff, very friendly staff in general, accomodation assistants especially ela were wonderful and had our room spot less, such a treat, a knock on our door in evening by polite lady to turn our beds down and gave us gorgeous cup cake chocolate each, little thought that meant alot. food was delicious, good selection of foods and wines, great city location.
This hotel enjoys an excellent, central location but because of this it tends to be rather noisy at night with passing revellers. We couldn't close the windows to block the noise because there was no air conditioning unit in the room. However, we really enjoyed our stay and I would recommend it to others. The breakfast room was spacious and the food was lovely and plentiful.
Enjoyed our weekend stay very much in the Rivercourt Hotel. Staff very friendly and most helpful. Room excellent with very good facilities and very clean. Excellent breakfast; did not use restaurant in hotel for dinner but menu looked very nice and there were a lot of people there. Hotel location very central with excellent walks along by the River Nore. Would definitely go back again.

Kilkenny is a medieval city with very strict regulations regarding building. the River Court is in the centre of the city and access is a bit difficult. To improve access would entail knocking vey old buildings. This is not allowed, something I heartily agree with. Other than this, the hotel is first class with a spectacular view of the medieval castle.
Very nice hotel in great central location. In the city centre yet there is parking and also the hotel is far enough from the main road that there is no noise from traffic or late night revellers, of which I was one
A beutiful hotel in a great location and the staff were very friendly and helpful Only point on the downside was that the beds are very hard and both myself and my partner woke up with a bad backs every morning

I found this hotel to be a very lively but relaxing hotel. The staff were very friendly and everything was perfect. I would recommend this hotel at any time. I will definately go back soon.
