"The jungle raft hotel is a great concept and experience. What detracted from our stay were the ridiculous prices of the "extra activities". It seems that most people staying at the same time as us were part of tour groups, therefore they would have been exempt from these costs. We booked the accommodation independently via hotelclub (which incidentally was substantially cheaper than booking directly!) but were completely taken for a ride when booking trips to the tiger temple and Kanchanaburi/Death Railway. As the hotel is in a very isolated location, we didn't really have an alternative in getting to these other attractions. The prices we were charged were extortionate!! " - Adrienne Munro
"Such a wonderful, relaxing experience. The accommodations are unique and very enjoyable. It is nice to escape the world powered by electricity. The staff is so very friendly and helpful. The only drawback is the high cost of the 10-minute (downstream) longtail boat ride from the pier. Once there, expect to stay put - go to relax - take a good book and your swimming suit.
