River Palace Hotel Rome

An excellent venue for the old city close to all you may want to see fantastic breakfast and very helpful staff

Well positioned with only a short walk to attractions and good restaurants.Rooms tend to be on the small side and did not have tea or coffee facilities. A buffet breakfast with hot and cold food was very good. A Happy Hour from 1800 to 2200 provided an excellent start to the evening. The Staff were very helpfull and without exception spoke English and I suspect other languages.

A great location with fantastic public transport nearly on the doorstep. Staff very very friendly and willing to help with anything after been to Rome many times this is now my place to stay.

Great location (very close to metro), fantastic service and awesome breakfasts. Rooms are on the small side, but fine by European standards. Would definitely stay here when in Rome again.

Excellent hotel, perfectly positioned for top sites, walking time of approx 15 minutes to vatican Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, 10 minutes to Spanish steps, 2 minutes to metro. Good service with friendly staff and excellent decor.

Lovely room with pretty view of courtyard - single room was very small but ornate. I would stay here agin - location was so easy - a minute to subway or tram or bus and a couple of minutes to shops, restaurants ect down winding old streets. Popolo Plaza beautiful at night. A warning about the TV - if you buy a movie you are buying 24 hours of all movies - which includes very graphic sex programs. This is something that should be mentioned to parents. Breakfast buffet fine. Room service OK but the food not worth the price.

Very nice hotel! The room was very small, but very clean and had all that we needed for our 3 nights stay. Sheets were changed every day. Exellent bathroom. The staff was polite and helpful. Walking distance to most attractions, and Metro station just a couple of minutes away.

This was a fantastic experience. The staff were great and even upgraded us! The rooms were lovely too. I would definately stay here again.

We got this hotel for a bargain price of around £90 per night last minute (very cheap for Rome). For this price, it was a great hotel. Loved the evening bed turndown service with complimentary Godiva chocolates! Staff were very friend and helpful.

We have stayed at the River Palace twice and we chose it because it was within easy distance to some of the well known sites in Rome, including the Spanish Steps, Borghese Gardens and just 2 mins from the Piazza del Popolo and also very convenient for the stadium (where we were going to watch the rugby. Our room was slightly smaller this time around but still very pleasant, well decorated and clean, although the wardrobe space is very limited. There is a very pleasant and comfortable lounge and bar and breakfast, served in the dining room, was very good. All in all, a lovely hotel.

A well run, clean hotel within walking distance of all the sites and just around corner from the Metro.

Fabulous location, staff very helpful, very nice breakfast/breakfast room. Like most hotels in that part of the world would have loved facilities for washing clothes or even hanging things to dry. There is however a laundromat fairly close to hotel. Would stay here again.
