Riverside Hotel Southbank Brisbane

"Room very noisy because it is adjacent to road flyover. Rooms not serviced with standard expected and although not bad in terms of room cleanliness certainly below average as carpet not properly vacuumed. Room infested by small numbers of ants running about cabinet with flat-screen TV on containing fridge, tea,coffee, sugar, biscuits and mini-bar extras such as crisps/chocolate bars etc. Long delay in restaurant for evening meal on some days but when meal arrived tasty and well-cooked. Only one lift for 3 floors which is also used by room service staff. On positive side staff friendly and helpful. Location good apart from proximity to road. Room rate acceptable for location. With slight improvements would be an excellent value for money hotel." - Anonymous

"Over all a very nice and clean place to stay with free secure parking a bonus. Location is a bit out of the way and with lots of road works going on its not exactly easy to get to at the moment. Don't expect a large tv, ours was only 19inch if that, and only had some basic foxtel channels - would have loved the music channel but it wasn't available!! Was a little surprised to not find any phone books as I desperately needed the yellow pages, nor was there a note pad and pen. Luckily my partner and I are not large people as the bathroom was a little on the SMALL side and not enough places to hang towels. I wouldn't pay any more than the discounted price we paid as the room as the quality and location is not worth it." - Anonymous
