Hotel Roma is one of the finest 4 stars hotels of Florence. It Is located in the heart of the city, in an ancient palace of 18th century, completely renovated in 1988, overlooking one of the most enchanting squares of the historical Florence, dominated by the imposing green-white marble façade of Santa Maria Novella church. A few steps away you can find the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore (Duomo) with the Giotto Belltower, Ponte Vecchio (Old Bridge), Piazza della Siqnoria (Signoria Square), the Medicean district of San Lorenzo, the Lungarni and all the main florentine monuments and museums. Furthermore the Hotel is near the central rail station and the congress, fairs and exhibitions center (Palazzo dei Congressi and Fortezza da Basso), easily reachable from the Florence Airport (Amerigo Vespucci). The refined atmosphere of the ground floor, the conference hall, the reception and the american bar room are enriched by the decorative elements – capitals, pilllars, columns, panels ecc. – but the real jewels are the polychrome glass windows, work of Tito and Galileo Chini (1920).

Getting there:By Train: The S.M.Novella train station is just at 200 metres walk away from the hotel. By Car: From Milano, exit the highway at Firenze Nord and follow the indications for the central train station; from Roma, exit the highway at Firenze Certosa or Firenze Sud and follow the indications for the centre and the central train station. By Air: From “A. Vespucci” Airport, the hotel is easily reachable with a taxi or the shuttle bus to the train station.

The staff was excellent, room was clean and reasonable size, breakfast was excellent, location is ideal.
Nice clean hotel in a good location, only 5 mins walk from main railway station. The hotel does not have a restaurant but this is not a major problem as plenty of restaurants and cafes in surrounding area.
Reception staff were friendly and helpful. My room was a good size, comfortable and clean. The location was near the station, within walking distance of all major tourist sites. My only complaint was that it was noisy at night being on a popular Piazza & next to an Irish bar. I recommend asking for a higher level room facing the quieter side street.
I really liked Roma Hotel Florence but eventhough the location is great it is very noisy at night with the trafic and people outside in the bars. It din't have wireless connection, so we had to use their computer.
A very good hotel. Only problem was that during our stay there, the piazza outside the hotel (which I recall was beautiful when we last visited) was undergoing redevelopment and so was fenced off to the public. Pricing was expensive for a triple room, but no complaints on the facilities or quality of the room.
Lovely hotel, spacious room (we had a triple room) very clean. approx 5 mins walk from the Doumo so quite a good location too. Breakfast was good - the usual selection of cereals, cold meats cheese, fruit, croissants etc. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.
