"Apprehensive of negative reviews, we booked 8 days in Sep08 and were not disappointed. Yes, narrow corridors, but once in room: basic, clean, aircon, pleasing decor and color, foam mattress in double bed(!) but firm. And only 5 min. walk to las ramblas. Good deal for your money if you want to stay in old city. Recommend. For b'fast try Carracas on your right hand as you walk along sant antoni - local priced and very good coffee. Take airport bus to pl catalunya and taxi/walk to hotel. Best priced icecream is 50m down av. portal de l'angel on your right. Good restaurants in placa reial. " - Borge Hansen
