1. Friendly staff 2. Less than 10 minutes walk to Paddington Underground and Train Stations; less than 15 minutes walk to Lancaster Gate Underground Station 3. Room carpet should be cleaned more frequently 4. Ham and sausages should be provided in breakfast if possible
The hotel is old so are the facilities and decorations. The staff are friendly. For that price it worths staying.
OK hotel to the price. wery good location. The bed's was fine, but there was som bugs in the room and that was not OK.
Friendly staff, excellent room service.
if you need a hotel in a very good location, if you dont want to spend a lot of money,if you expect the bacic ,if you don't expect a new luxury hotel with new carpets and new parerwalls, it's ok .
The main plus point for this hotel is the superb location. Otherwise it is just a run of the mill budget hotel. Not sparkling clean, but not exactly dirty. Quite good breakfast, reasonably comfortable bed. Worse thing was the bathroom. Tiny, impossible to move in it despite both myself and my husband being slim, and the water pressure only allowed a trickle of water from the shower.
excellent friendly staff, basic accomodation at an excellent price for a very good location. would stay tere again
Room (b01) was far too hot (pipes underfloor) and only way of cooling it was to open a window with public access. Upper floor rooms might be better? Premises generally tatty and very basic but reasonably clean. Bed very uncomfortable (uneven, worn-out springs). Breakfast chaotic and basic - but at least there is real butter, marmalade and orange (from concentrate) - and fried eggs. Service - just! The only reason to return would be convenient but quiet location.
Friendly staff and larger room than most in the area, plus quieter as off the main road. Very convenient for Paddington station.
It was expensive for the state of the room and poor facilities. I had to ask for a kettle and hair drier - which were advertised as present in the room. Everything in the room was old, shabby and of poor quality. The staff were excellent. It appeared that work was starting - they were painting the stairways and I wondered if it had just been taken over and things may improve.
The man behind reception is a Star. Makes your stay a very enjoyable one. The hotel is showing its age in places but is generally very clean. At this price I have no complaints. Would never pay the full price here though.
Appreciated specially the breakfast and having clean towels every day, which was above expectation. Nice and friendly staff.
WE stayed at the hotel for one night, and found it very near to Paddington statin with is very convenient for people travelling to Heathrow Airport.
Very small bathroom. Friendly staff.
This hotel is well located to Paddington Station and is at the lower end of the price bracket and a good choice within that.
This hotel is located in a very good area, easily reached to the public transport.
Very good value. Large room for London standards. Quiet location.
The hotel is amoung 42 others in Sussex Gardens, but one of the closest to Paddington Station. Quite street of Sussex Gardens, nice cosy rooms, eggs and beans for breakie. Really good value for money. And the highlight for me was they let us into our room at 7am the day I was checking in after a 14 hour flight.
Friendly service in a good location near Paddington Station and Hyde Park. Rooms look a little worn though.
Very friendly staff, especially the breakfast crew. Considering the price(very reasonable) for London this is a good find. Would recommend for the price bracket.
