Rosevears is the ideal place to base yourself to explore Launceston, visit the Gorge or explore the many vineyards in the area. Within a half and hours drive of Rosevears Vineyard Retreat you can find Seahorse World, Platypus House, the Grubb Shaft Gold and Heritage Museum and the Tamar Island Wetlands. Just 1 km from Rosevears Vineyard Retreat is the Tamar Valley Resort's challenging 9 hole golf course. Equipment can be hired from the Pro Shop and visitors are most welcome

Getting there:Rosevears is located on the corner of the West Tamar Highway (A7)and Waldhorn Drive. From Launceston follow the signs to Beauty Point via West Tamar Highway (A7) to the Waldhorn Drive intersection, the intersection is 7 Km from the roundabout at Legana and is on the left hand side of the Highway. Approaching from the North the intersection is 7 Km past Exeter on the right hand side of the Highway.

Fabulous location overlooking Tamar Valley, pleasant cabins on the hillside above a vineyard. More for pleasure than business, but a really nice place to stay.
Owned by Gunns, not the pinnacle of forestry conservation. Pleasant stay, clean with views. Let down by ownership, parking and blinds that don't provide privacy.

Very pleasant Chalet style accomodation, with modern facilities and a great restaurant. View from Chalets is spectacular.
The perfect getaway, great views over vineyard to Tamar river. Very secluded and private, nice balcony with bbq. Very spacious, modern apartment. Only 15 mins by car to Launceston yet had the feeling of being far away from everything.
A great place to stay in every respect - excellent outlook and very modern facilities - ideally located to ensure a restful stay. And so much to do and visit within easy driving distance. Highly recommended.
Modern and spacious accomodation in a unique location. Ideal for travelling with friends - we utilised a two bedroom appartment, which was the equivelent of two separate appartments joined by a front door. Very quiet and private with nice overlook to the river. Bathrooms and bedrooms with a modern Asian influence - very tastefully furnished. A short drive from Launceston, but ideal for touring the wine region or Launceston itself.
Great location however the restaurant was not open during the evening. Some of the simple things like the clock and elec blanket did not a a power point available to plug into so were not usable.
Small amount of traffic noise, but otherwise splendid privacy. Good base for touring Tamar Wineries.
I would certainly recommend this accommodation to anyone and will certainly stay there again myself.
Luvley setting, just out of town. Very scenic. Will be recommending it.
