This was a nice hotel, good location reasonably close to train station & city shops.
Rothbury is within walking distance of Central Station and other venues are easy to acccess. While the hotel room is very basic - probably better suited to a short stay,(no chair or desk/table)the little daily breakfast basket is a great touch. I would stay there again.

Very conveniently located close to railway and lots of shops and restaurants. All within 5 minutes walk. Staff were excellent. Atmosphere lovely art deco style. Cannot find any faults
My key decision to stay at the Rothbury was price and proximatey to the Brisbane CBD. I was subsequently very impressed with the style of the building and the accommodation. I will continue to book into the Rothbury.
Stayed in hotel room & shocked with size of our room - could barely walk around bed! Property is clean but very tired & not worth 4 stars. Maybe other apartments have been renovated & worthy of the rating but our room was NOT! Bathroom - very run down with cracked tiles, faded silicon & bare minimum of soaps etc provided. The desk was a 2nd hand budget office desk, chair to match & the hotel information was outdated, quoting $14/night for parking but later charged $17/night. When questioned the price it was "too bad the info was just outdated"! The best things hotel: the location, the down stairs cafe(301): great coffee & muffins & bed was comfy. The old tv (not flat screen) had acceptable reception but a bit of a shock for 4 stars. Unfortunately the bitsy crockery, rattling air con, unfriendly staff & expensive parking leave us warning against this hotel. We recommend spending a little more to ensure a 4 star stay. Best some rennovations are made or the star rating adjusted!
Booked a room for one night only. The room was very small but was quite cheap. I was lucky that there was a parking spot free as I was unaware you have to prebook a parking space. Good front desk service.

The room was spotless and the staff very accomodating. There was an issue with the air conditioning and I was given another room promptly and without fuss.
If you like a room with a bed and half a meter of space around it and nothing else this is for you.
Definitely will stay again when in Brisbane and will inform work colleagues
Loved the heritage atmosphere and decor. Lots of room in our apartment. Air conditioner was a bit noisy but everything else was good.
We originally made a booking over the net. On arrival the room was far too small for our liking, so we upgraded. Reception desk very helpful. Very happy with upgraded room and cost for upgrade. This is the second time we have stayed here and very happy with this place. Nice and central to CBD and train station.
Our two night stay at the Rothbury on Ann was a delight. Loved the one bedroom apartment, newly refurbished, fabulous location, great helpful staff. We will stay there again.
I would recommend this hotel to others - a great location, quietwith friendly and helpful staff. I did notice that they have a cheaper walk-in rate for Friday - Sunday, but this didn't include the breakfast basket, which was nice to have.

First time I had stayed at the Rothbury and would certainly stay again - great location just a few minutes walk from Central Station which means access from and to the airport is very easy. Likewise it's proximity to the main city centre is an easy walk as is that to the waterfront area off Creek Road.
Rooms were good size for two people, included light breakfast which was fantastic, Close proximity to CBD & South Bank & Central Station was a bonus. Only downside, shared common door with other occupants, bit noisy on entering their room. Overall, worth returning on our next visit.
Very nice refurbished heritage building convenient to bus, train and shopping. Light breakfast (cereal, bread for toast, juice, fruit) included which was very welcome. We stayed in a hotel room which was a bit cramped with no seating (other than the bed) but otherwise was fine for a few nights for two people. I would certainly consider staying again.
