Rotorua Motor Lodge

This was a very reasonably priced hotel and the facilities were excellent. The host was friendly and welcoming. It was very convenient for the tourist attractions and good directions were given if required. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel to others.

The hotel is quite difficult to find despite its address. There were no sign or indication of the location of the hotel in town. I was a little disappointed with the facilities as I was expecting kitchen facilities but it turned out to be just Tea and Coffee making facilities with microwave. However when I inquired to the hotel I was told that the studio do not have kitchen. He introduced me to the common kitchen facilities which was well equiped but has not been cleaned for sometime to be able to use it. Moreover the hot water in the kitchen and the bathroom was not hot and in fact we have to have a "cold" shower as there seemed not to have enough water. That was a big disappointment as of all the hotels we stayed in New Zealand, this is the only hotel which did not have real hot water.
