The welcome at the hotel is lovely, the staff attentive and charming. A gorgeous aroma of lemon grass and herbs pervades the hotel with the sounds of a traditional xylophone played in the lobby. Clean, modern and efficient. Internet maps, including the one on the hotel's website might suggest it is close to the city centre. However, you need transport to get to the centre of town which is about 10 minutes drive away. There is a free shuttle bus running every 2 hours until 8pm.
If you have the opportunity to stay at this hotel, DO NOT PASS IT UP! As a traveler tip be sure to avail the hotel staff of your flight travel itinerary or you'll have to catch a cab from the airport to the hotel, otherwise the transfer is free. From the moment we arrived we were dazzled by the classic/asian fusion style of this hotel. The pool was incredible, spa so affordable you'll want to spend every day there, and tour of Angkor wat that they arranged first class. Everything that you expect from a five star, down to the turn down service. I will only say one negative thing: The ceilings are rather thin--we heard the maid upstairs cleaning during our nap after the sunrise at Angkor. Otherwise--happy hour was awesome, spa staff expert and one of the few places you can get a western manicure in the east. Stay here if you have the chance. You won't regret it... ans so cheap to boot!
Very comfortable, quiet, and full-service resort hotel. It has old world charm and service. My affordable superior room with a balcony overlooking the pool was absolutely the best accomodation in southeast Asia on this trip. The pool area was well maintained and a great place to relax throughout the days and nights. The breakfast buffet was surprisingly stocked with all of the Asian and Western breakfast favorites. It is the only hotel that offered BACON for breakfast! What a treat. I also went to the Angkor Wat complex and Lake Ton Le Sap during my visit here. This hotel is centrally located for easy access to all major tourist locations. I will be returning to this resort next year.
Location is close to the airport (and they provide free transfers), but quite a way from Town ($US3.00 Tuk Tuk). Room was alright, breakfast was good and the service was fine, if you managed to understand their English. If you don't need a swimming pool, stay at one of the hotels in town. Overall, quite satisfied, although it was a bit pricey. Siem Reap itself is delightful - as are the numerous temples.
Very new hotel with great swimming pool. Close to airport and convenient for reaching Angkor Temples. Breakfast need to be improved
