Now we can catch train from the airport, this hotel’s location is very good. I enjoyed the walk between the hotel and the nearest station but you can get free tuk-tuk. The staff was very friendly. I could hear the noise from the next door which didn’t really bother me. Will stay here again.
We stayed 14 days at this hotel until the end of 2009. Our room was on the 8th floor with a window facing the street. The room was fully equipped with plenty of hanging and cupboard space and a large refrigerator. Drinks were reasonably priced. The bathroom had all needed equipment with plenty of hot water. The double bed was comfortable. Breakfast from 7am to 11am was basic but with a good variety of dishes. The management and staff were very friendly. I have only two complaints. The wireless internet in our room was not working. This was a small inconvenience as I used the internet on the ground floor without charge. The swimming pool was full of stagnant cloudy water and could not be used. All in all an enjoyable stay considering the price we paid. Reginald Hare
Rooms clean and tidy. Friendly staff and good price. Breakfast 100% better than last visit.
budget hotel in great location to BTS
Breakfast is expensive and very poor quality. Bedrooms are now a little 'tired', however, location considering a very good deal at the price.
good for the value comparing to the other same class hotels. customer service is really good and very closer to all the happaning places...
my stay was very well looked arfter i wood like to say thankyou to the staff
good location set back bvut near enough to main streets and transport..
The Royal Asia Lodge Bangkok was well situated in Soi 8 just off the Sukumvit Road a popular location for both tourists and ex-pats due to the many bars and restaurants iin the vicinity. The hotel supplied a shuttle vehicle from the hotel to the sukumvit road (approximately 500 meters away) at your conveience. The hotel rooms were very basic with poor TV channels (no BBC or CNN) most channels being in Thai. The rooms were clean and were serviced well every day and the staff were very polite at all times. If travelling on my own again to Bangkok I would stay there again due to its location.
The hotel looks like it is in need of redecorating, the bathroom is old and the plaster around the bath is coming away. If you want to hire a dvd machine, make sure its when the manager is around otherwise you can wait a long time. The door to the room didnt fit properly so there was a gap in the top. Outside the room there is no airconditioning, so it is as hot as outside the hotel.
I found this to be well overpriced, do not even get any complimentary drinking water in the room. Very good location.
Very good value. Helpful staff. Free Tuk Tuk to the end of the Soi was helpful. No free internet
Really to far to walk to the main street, about 200 meter. Tuk 2 never offer to me even pass throgh me. I will not come back.
Room size was large. Hotel was a little too far back from Sukumvit Road - overall good value for the money though.
A good 3 Star hotel. Some of the air cons are a bit noisey (by putting the fan on low or medium you greatly reduce the noise) but since it is at the end of the Soi, there is not much street noise. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I came back on my return trip and would gladly stay here again if I return to Bangkok.
Friendly people.Location good and quiet.Free transport from and to main street
An extremely well located hotel situated a short free tuk-tuk ride from sukhumvit road. Thoroughly recommended and extremely good value
Hotel was good, but they overcharged me as I wanted to pay in dollars and they wanted baht (and in the conversion charged me US$5 extra)
All I can say is the staff is very friendly. The hotel is very good value for money considering where it is. The only gripe I had was the breakfast being offered was probably the worst I have ever had anywhere in the world, needs alot of improvement. Saying that, the resturant where the breakfast was being served had an outstanding veiw. I would certainly go back.
Friendly staff at the reception. It would be nice to have ABF (paying of course! )included.A little bit far in the Soi 8 but very convenient tuk-tuk service, always available when you need it.Recommended it to friends and will go back soon myself with my family from abroad.
