This is the 2nd time I've stayed here and I will stay here again. Bearing in mind this is not a 5 star hotel, the price is incredible for what you get. It's not the smartest of hotels I admit, however it's clean. The bedroom was well proportioned and it had a whirlpool bath as well. Quite unexpected. Very good. The on-site gym is one of the best hotel gyms I have used with a wide range of equipment and free weights The pool is actually big enough to swim in !! And warm. The buffet breakfast is adequate, a reasonable selection. I would have preferred mushrooms, fresh tomatoes and black pudding and a pot of tea on the table, these were not available. Finally, the staff and the dining room staff in particular are very polite and efficient. And it seemed genuine, not somewhat forced like I've experienced elsewhere. Every staff member greeted me with a warm smile. Thank you.
This hotel stands in impresive grounds with good car park security, but don't be fooled by that. It has seen better days, the whole hotel is dated and could do with some investment. That having been said I have stayed on a number of occasions and it's fine. A decent pool the bar is OK although the menu is limited and basic, there is also a resterant offering carvery, not that I have tried so I can't comment. It's a bit off the beaten track and 4 miles or so from the M6 J3 or 6 miles from the M42 J6. The rooms are OK and it is normaly good value for money
This hotel is in a very nice enviroment and could be beautiful but is now a little tired. However I would definately stay there again and recommend friends and colleagues to stay here when travelling on business.
I've been in a few 3-4 star hotels recently and this is by far the best. Excellent leisure facilities and fantastic food. The vegetarian alternatives were superb. Although it was some distance from Coventry city centre, it was well worth the extra mileage. Customer service from reception to room to restaurant was highly-rated. If I had to force a fault, it would be the absence of a flat screen TV in the bedroom. This was more than adequately compensated by the 24hr movie channel in the selection of TV stations. Besides, there was a massive flatscreen TV in the lounge. It so happened that while I was there, I witnessed a school prom. The resplendence of attire worn that evening blended with the salubrious setting of the hotel. I would more than welcome an opportunity to return to the hotel. I would be just as pleased to recommend to a friend.
We had a very pleasant stay and enjoyed "wedding watching"!
The room we had was excellent it was in the old Manor House. It was clean but the sitting room could benefit from a little TLC. The breakfast was excellent, a good choice and hot even though breakfast had been being served for 2 hours by the time we had ours. I would definitely recommend it.
If you like to go back to the seventies this is for you.
Was really pleased with this hotel. Thought it was really good value for money.
The staff were all very friendly and polite. The facilities were excellent. I had a very good weekend.
