Royal Holidays Hotel New Delhi

"My husband, 3 children and I stayed at this hotel booking a double and a triple room. The double room was reasonably clean and comfortable, and the bath/shower was clean and had hot water. The triple room was clean, but uncomfortable had no window and the shower was old and grimy with no hot water! We knew by the rating and price of the hotel it would be basic and since we were traveling on a budget, were not expecting anything more. I think it was a case of "luck of the draw". The breakfast was reasonable-tea, coffee, toast, eggs, indian bread and chickpea curry. The cereal looked stale. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. There was a good restaurant opposite 'Dana Choga' -cheap, tasty meals and in clean surroundings. Although we took a motorized rickshaw everywhere, the hotel is ideally located in a safe area and about 2km from Connaught Place. A great hotel for the budget traveller!" - Vivienne Murray

"My husband, 3 children and I stayed in two separate rooms, one double and one triple. We were on a budget and knew from the rates it would be basic and facilities limited. I think the booking is a case of 'luck of the draw....the double room was reasonably clean, comfortable and had a shower/bath with hot water. The triple was fairly clean, comfortable, windowless but the shower was old and grimy and had no hot water. Breakfast was was basic, eggs, toast, chickpea curry, indian bread, coffee and tea. The cereal looked stale. The staff were all friendly and helpful and there's an internet in the lobby you can use for a small charge. There's also a good restaurant opposite the hotel called 'Dana Choga' serving tasty Indian and Chinese dishes at cheap prices. Although we chose not to walk anywhere and took rickshaws most of the time, the hotel is in an ideal location..about 2kms from Connaught Place.
