"I was having a very nice stay at the hotel until I was woken up at 9 AM on a Sunday by hammering, drilling and stone-sanding sounds. The hotel has the poor judgment of doing construction work on a weekend and during hours when customers might be sleeping. Lapse of judgment or poor management? I'll let yo ube the judge. I will return to this hotel only because the rest of the hotels in Macau are so undeservingly expensive!" - David Wu

"the hotel is clean and nice. it located at uphill, be prepare to walk a bit... :) but no worry, is not far from Grand Liboa Casino. There is one chinese restaurant very nice and cheap. Located just nearby of Royal Hotel (walk out the hotel front door, turn RIGHT, walk about 1~2 mins, the restaurant is at the corner of the T-junction, in front of a school)." - Lew Cher Wen


"I enjoyed my stay here even for a single night. We had our lunch at their restaurant at 2nd floor and they didn't include the 10% service charge of what we ordered there...nice:) And have a free shuttle as well but I was disappointed because we thought that there's a shuttle bus from taipa ferry terminal to the hotel, so we paid a taxi going to the hotel, if i knew i could just ride the free shuttle bus from others and stop at macau ferry terminal and took the royal hotel shuttle bus we could have saved hkd55.oo for it . But anyways there's always a first time experienced. We are glad to took pictures as well because the Macau International airport is near taipa ferry terminal. " - Anonymous

Hotel description:    Hotel Royal Macau is well situated on Estrada da Vitoria near the centre of Macau at the foot of the city's legendary landmark - the 174-metre-high hill "Colina da Guia". Well placed for both business and leisure travellers. Hotel Royal Macau and it's newly refurbished guest rooms and facilities offers you a haven of comfort and serenity in one of Asia's most exciting cities.
In order to enhance our product and service delivery to our clients, we had fully renovated our guestrooms, restaurants and public area in 2008, and now we will commerce to upgrade the hotel property by refurbishing the hotel facade, the project will start from April 20, 2009. Most of the work will be carried outside of the building in the phase one to three, we will try our best to minimize the noise or any inconvenience caused to our guest. We look forward to show the New Hotel Royal soon.
