The hotel was situated away from the main Casino district which was really nice for someone who wasn't there to gamble. Within walking distance was the Guia Lighthouse, Senado Square, St. Paul's Ruins and much more. The only downer about the Hotel was that when I was there, the pool and fitness centre were under renovation.
I ENJOYED MY STAY, THE ROOM WAS COMFORTABLE AND CLEAN APART FROM A MINUTE AMOUNT OF MOLD IN THE SHOWER GROUTING WHICH SHOULD BE ATTENDED TO FOR HEALTH REASONS. I ATE IN THE LOUNGE EACH DAY AND ALTHOUGH THE BREAKFAST WAS A BIT SPARSE FOR CHOICE IT WAS WELL PREPARED AND VERY CLEAN, THE STAFF WERE VERY GOOD, HELPFUL AND POLITE. THEY DID ALLOW PEOPLE TO SMOKE IN PARTS OF THE LOUNGE AND THAT WAS UNCOMFORTABLE SO HAD TO LEAVE A COUPLE OF TIMES TO ESCAPE THE ODOUR, THEY NEED TO CLEAN THAT UP
The newly renovated Deluxe rooms offer a King bed or Two twin beds, a spacious writing desk and comfortable armchair, 32" LCD TV and complimentary in room high-speed internet access.
37" LCD TV with DVD player and complimentary WI FI internet access. A full marble bathroom features a soaking tub or rainshower stall to cater for guests' individual needs. The average room size is 27 square metres. satisfy with the Hotel. only COMPLAINT is ORBiTZ. the Hotel website indicates Delux Room package includes breakfast but when i booked thru Oribitz the Breakfast was omitted by Orbitz according to Hotel booking info from Orbitz ???
Swimming pools and gyms were under maintenance. Staffs service is good.
It was terrific. I and my entourage really enjoy our stay in one of the best in macau. Thank you . We will definitely stay at the royal hotel in our next visit to macau.
The hotel and its staff met my expectations.
Excellent window view. Staff were very friendly and helpful!
Comfortable hotel and staff service good with the exception of shuttle service bus driver, very unhelpful. Location inconvenience .
The receptionist was very helpful when we arrived with regards to our booking as were the rest of the staff. The room was excellent and quite large. The Hotel shuttle bus service was good and I would recommend and stay at this hotel again.
Reasonable for the price paid, there is room for improvement but it was still okay and though it was a bit of a walk to the main part of the town, it was not considered entirely inaccessible, worth looking at for a place to stay in macau
Quite good hotel.
I would go back again when I am in the area.
This is the second time we stayed at this hotel. The reason? We could not not book any other hotel. They were all full during the May day holiday. Though the room was quite good and so was the service,we wished we were nearer to the main casinos and the shopping areas. Anyway, perfect place if you just want to rest.
A decent hotel with good staffing. If this hotel has direct transport to places like custom to Zhu Hai will make it more perfect. Otherwise, it is fine and pleasant to stay in Royal Hoel. Susan
This a very nice hotel with at great service just in middle of Macau in walking distance to everything.
The rooms in the Royal are spotless and spacious and the location is excellent for the old parts of Macau. They could consider advancing check out time from 11am to 12 noon, which is the norm elsewhere in SE Asia and during the check-out rush they should consider putting on an extra shuttle bus to take people to the ferry terminal as the small minibus filled up quickly.
My first time at Macau and I was very much impressed by Royal. Location is conveniet as it is merely a short walk away from a supermarket which sells halal products. The staff is very polite and helpful. There is wifi and broadband in the hotel. I also like the fact that the hotel is not crowded as it is away from the major casinos. The hotel also provides free shuttle to the ferry terminal which makes your exploration of macau casinos very convenient if you are interested to do so.
- shuttle bus being provided to some famous destination - helpful staff
Generally good value, clean with good service. Only drawback is the frequency of shuttle service, once every 30 mins and from 8.35am to 9.35pm. Most hotels in Macau provides good shuttle service running every 10-15 mins or so, some bigger ones round the clock.
The beds were hard which is a frequent occurrence in Asia. Otherwise, we enjoyed this hotel. Staff were friendly with adequate English. The concierge was very helpful. Would stay again.
