Found the staff to be very pleasant and obliging. Food was excellent Stayed here years ago - standard remains good

The staff are very friendly and helpful. You are made to feel very welcome. We opted for the tower suites again as were very impressed with the extras. We loved having the laundry included of 3 items for each person per day. Promptly brought back same day beautifully packaged and hung up for us. The impressive afternoon tea, and pre dinner drinks with snacks was very generous and appetising. Complimentry shuttle boat to rail not only convenient but entertaining. The only negative is that only 1 hour of internet use is included per day on their allocated computers. Why is wi fi not complimentary and available on your lap top or iphone in your room?

Lovely hotel, nothing to fault here! Fantastic views over the Chao Phaya river. The breakfast buffet was very expensive, although the food was good.

We got discounted price hence stayed here, but otherwise would've chosen somewhere more centrally located (closer to Siam Square), since this hotel is a bit far from BTS and MRT, and there's only Shuttle Boat to BTS every 30 mins (starting 10am). Breakfast was not included and very expensive (THB 700++ per person) hence didnt take it. Room is spacious, clean, and nice view overlooking Chaophraya river, very convenient for those taking the river cruise just next door!

The hotel has had a wonderful updated refit in all rooms and was fantastic both in staff service and facilities. It has suffered since the recent troubles in Bangkok, but is making a huge effort to win back customers, I would certainly stay there again.

Really friendly staff, couldn't do enough for us. The beds are really very comfortable. Internet rates and buffet breakfast rates are high but then they all or most charge too high which doesn't make it right. I'd stay again if we got a good deal, but eat out more.

Good business type hotel but in a not so convenient location. Although it wrestles in proximity with the Peninusla and Orient, it doesn't compare in terms of service or facilities. Ideal for families or business types, but not leisure seekers.

I stay at Royal Orchid Sheraton most of time in BKK only for the reason that it is located at river-side and a bit remoted from busy area, it is not far to get to the centre though. However it looked a bit different to what I remember, getting little bit old I guess, thus they renovating rooms and some facilities. the service is still good. People working there are very friendly and helpful. I always enjoy my stay there and will stay there again. Only one thing the hotel didn't satisfy me is food. It was not as good as before. that can't be a critical reason to avoid the hotel as there are plenty of nice restaurants everywherein the city.

the staff is charming! always ready to smile and very helpful...i found the breakfast should have been included in the package...we had a room for 2, executive suite, so should have been included.

We had a room overlooking the river and much enjoyed our stay.

Great location on the river with the hotel having its own boat to ferry you the short distance down river to the Sky train station. Also very convienient access to the river ferries to take you to tourist locations. Good swimming/gym facilities and great buffet for breakfast.

This hotel was attractive, comfortable and clean, and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The restaurants offered a good variety of well presented food. There is a boat shuttle service to the air-train terminal. However, there were details that were lacking: furniture was rather basic (drawers jammed), the air conditioning in our room was inadequate, one in-room telephone was faulty, the towels and toilet accessories were not great quality. Overall, it was a good but not great hotel (not as good as [other hotel]) and was let down by small things that would not cost much to fix.

It is a forty five minute drive from the Suvarnabhumi Airport. Always take a metered taxi, the buggers there are only out to cheat tourists. If you take a metered taxi to the hotel request him to drive you via the express highway it is much faster way to get into the city, just about 65-100 Bath extra to use the express way. At 3 pm from the hotel to the airport we paid 226 THB + 65 THB for expressway. It is no problem to get a taxi at the hotel door step, just inform the Concierge you would only like a metered taxi. The hotel serves a huge spread of breakfast and we stayed at various big hotels during our trip, but by far The Sheraton Breakfast was the Best, breakfast ends at 10.30 so make sure you dun miss it. If you room does not include Breakfast it is only 650 TBH + + (15%) A must. No complains about the hotel, we got a really good room on the 18th floor and the view was awesome. The Hotel Spa is great, you must visit it. Do Stay here. Amruta.

We had a most enjoyable stay at this magnificent hotel. Its location by the river was most relaxing, sipping a G&T on the veranda whilst watching the colourful boats plying up and down the river.

Excellent location with river views, good choice of restaurants on site, one of the more expensive hotels but good value, a great place to stay. (For info, airport transfer by limo cost THB2200 each way)

The location of this hotel right on the riverbank is a real plus for getting around Bangkok via River taxi. Their Italian restaurant served the best pasta we've had since Rome.

Good restaurants. Tour office in hotel with pick-up at the hotel. Free internet in the 2nd floor lobby. All in all very nice.

Stopover hotel for package tourists, very busy, lifts not working, not a good experience.
