Royal Ramblas Hotel Barcelona

Friendly service, clean room, but a comfortable chair was missing in the room

Perfect, room was spotless, modern and very comfortable

the hotel is situated in the best posible place, easy to come around Barcelona, buses and subway 2 minutes away.

My stay in the Royal Ramblas was enjoyable, lovely views of La Rambla below. The only downside was that there was no air conditioning in the bedroom so difficult to get to sleep.

Our room--recently refurbished --overlooking The Ramblas was very comfortable but had only one "desk chair" for seating --plenty of room for two comfortable chairs. Breakfast adequate. Triple glazing made the room very quiet. We had a superior room---some rooms looked out into a light well & would have been disappointing.

Excellent Location and helpful staff.Wheter coming from Airport or station, it is so convenient. Only problem was AC not functioning properly, though the staff tried their best to overcome.Wish they had coffee facilities in the room.Breakfast was not included in room price.

Great location right on La Rambla, and it was surprisingly quiet. Handy to metro, shopping, and the waterfront. Airport bus dropping off at top of La Rambla provides a cheap option (even on a late night arrival) to get to the hotel.

It does cost extra to have a view

A well placed and well mainteained hotel, with friendly helpful staff. The breakfast buffet was excellent.

A very nice hotel right in the old city part of Barcelona with lots of sights within walking distance. The standard room was spacious with lots of hardwood trim and the buffet breakfast included in the price was above average in terms of the variety of foods. A bit more expensive than we usually spend but it was nice staying in a 4 star hotel for a change.

Excellent location and room was clean and comfortable. Facilities in the hotel are limited, there is a vending / seating area on the ground floor but the restaurant is next door. This seems strange at first but it is accessible from the second floor of the hotel and presents no hardship. Bars are plentiful near by and the area seems pretty safe. Would benefit from easy access to a PC for email etc. Enjoyed our stay and would use this hotel again.

I was at the hotel a few years back and the breakfast buffet was on the second floor of the hotel. I found it quite inconvenient this time that the breakfast buffet was next door and one had to go out of the hotel for breakfast, although it was just next door. It would help if there was a connection in the hotel to reach the restaurant for breakfast without having to go out of the hotel. I also find the price of the room for three (my husband, my 16-year old son and myself) a bit steep (400 Swiss francs per night) in relation to the quality and standing of the hotel.

Standard double room we stayed in was smallish but pretty well appointed, in good condition. Breakfast was a bit chaotic but ok - prepare to queue for your coffee!

Lack of bar/restaurant facilities made up by superb location

Front desk help was very helpful. Our superior room was very nice and exceedingly clean. The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect. Would return without hesitation.
